Seriously I thought Collingwood should win this but it really depends on which Port turns up. They're due (Port, to turn up that is) so I'm a bit concerned.

I was right, they did turn up, just didn't go on with it. THANKYOU!

I bet Port Power were hoping the power ( lights ) wouldn't be restored by half time so they could be given the win being in front by 6 points.
What would happen if the loss of light caused the game to end at half time?
I know of an Amateur game that was decided at half time because the lights couldn't be repaired & the side that was in front at the time was given the points.
It was definate lights out for the Power in the last half!

Yes i do!
Power going in with some players 50\50 today may hurt them even more in the next month, alot of sore & sorry players at present.

Freo would have a vague chance but I won't be tipping them.

Some major structural worries at Port heading into the next season or two. Lade and Brogan both getting on in years and Tredrea as well. I suspect what'll happen is Williams will part ways with the club at the end of the season, leaving the next bloke to cop the blame for what are ultimately recruiting failures from earlier in the piece. Plenty of mids/flankers coming through though.

Port was certainly ordinary today, next game against Freo will be a 50/50 as far as i'm concerned.

After todays game, you would expect Fremantle to go in as favourites against Port.

It will be a boring game, i would recommend getting drunk whilst watching it to ease the pain.

That was partially a joke, to be honest this game is 50/50.

went to the game today and both sides were PATHETIC as well as the umpires.
The Powers skills under pressure are deplorable at times resulting in consistent turnovers.
I left at 1/2 time as the game was that bad.
Gray and Lade kicking out on the full late in the 1 qtr from what both should have been regulation goals certainly set the scene for the rest of the game from that point on.
Neither Port or Collingwood will play finals this year.

Another performance that in no way surprised me. Half way through the second term we could have been 5 or 6 up and had the game in our grasp. Half way through the last and we looked as bad as anyone going around.

Pearce,Burgoyne,Pettigrew and Ebert can go back to the SANFL and have at least one week there.

I thought the same thing but one of the commentators said that they are on his list of teams that "can win it" (the premiership).

I really think that the commentators talk games/clubs up because of TV rights and to inject interest in a comp but realistically we're all fighting to fill meaningless spots in the 8.

I've thought for quite some time that he's one of your biggest problems.

There's still time for your boys to get their season on track and make some sort of push in 2009 (albeit not to a GF I wouldn't think), but it's going to take some serious change and hard decisions.

Yes, having P out there and no S has been counter productive IMO.

There was a game in the nineties when it was literally lights out. I think it was between St Kilda and Essendon at Waverley, could be wrong as my name aint spellcheck! They ended up resuming the match during the week. I think they had just over two quarters left of the game.

The best footy was played after half time jackpot jim, precision football i call it.
Collingwood i believe can play finals but not a top 4 side.
I believe you that Power won't!

Port should bring in some kids who want to play, and that will work hard both offensively and defensively....
Pearce has been questioned and its justified, fantastic player when we are winning the ball and he can get on the end of some handballs, when it gets tough he goes missing.

Pearce and Peter burgoyne are very similar in that aspect.
