Good effort by the Eagles, still a long way to go if we want to be in top three at the end of the year, but hopefully we can get Powell, Salter and Passador back into it.
Don't think Centrals will be to concerned about the loss.
Was great to see two head-to-head battles all day at each end of the field - Schell v Hier and Westbrook v Spurr.
We were probably a bit lucky to get Petrenko back - while he wasn't BOG, he did make an important difference.
Cicca in the side makes such a difference, just leading by example.
Thought the umpiring was pretty good apart from the odd usual mistake (the players made a lot more!!), even though the frees ended up 23 to 12 in Centrals favour.

GREAT win by the Eagles!

Allmond was terrific, won so many clearances. Surely the guy will be drafted?

McGregor shifted forward to kick 3 and again provice a great target.

Petrenko started slowly but really got going thereafter. His defensive work, tackling, chasing was top notch as always. He kicked 2 goals, one beauty in the last term which basically sealed the game. His presence was a real boost for the Eagles.

LOL at the guy on the PA afterwards... I have never before heard a ground announcer gloat in all the years I have been to the footy.

Its as if they'd just won the premiership. What a tool!

The Eagles are becoming the Pakistan of the SANFL - their best can beat Centrals, their worst sees them lose to West.

After a tight opening three quarters (Centrals leading by 3 at quarter, half, and three quarter times), the Eagles blew Centrals away in the last quarter. Centrals defence capitulated in the last quarter, with several Eagles goals coming from poor defensive on the goal line. The Eagles played their best when it counted and were deserved winners.

For Centrals, this is one of those 'losses you have to have'. Hopefully some of the same mistakes being made in the past 4-5 weeks will now be addressed, rather than covered up by the fact they won.

It was along the lines of 'give it up for the Eagles, they just beat the top of the ladder side'. I didn't think there was any over-celebrating, and IMO wasn't acting like a tool.

I didn't say he was acting like a tool, more that just gloating about it on the PA which no-one else around the grounds does at all, made him look like a tool.

Anyway, if I wanted to bitch about the loss, I'd pick far more relevant ground-level related subjects and not the ground announcer.

terrific win today......

Eagles never gave up.....and that is what the coach demanded from the start......

Allmond is all class....very good skills at ground level with the quick give.......AFL future for this boy!

Westbrook was our best forward until McGregor was moved to Full Forward......

his marking and straight kicking changed the game......match winning move!

Zac Hier was beaten by Schell in the first half....but after half time started to get on top...his last quarter was outstanding!

Petrenko gave us pace around the ball and his tackling was very good......

keeping the ball inside our forward line for most of the last quarter told the tale!

great game of football played today....

whats that guy who yells out 'YOU DOGS" got in his 2 litre bottle of iced coffee he skulls from?

2 litres in an afternoon... blecch. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in one hit.

That is if it was iced coffee... or a little extra something as well.

Unfortunately, don't know anyone fitting that description.
