wirrupunda or wirrapanda?

can anyone tell me why this guy was referred to as wirrupAnda in a couple of areas about 3-4 weeks ago, after the bris v west coast at the gabba they gave votes to wirupanda and called him that WHY? i thought the guy had changed his name for indigenous reasons or something but tonight he is wirrupunda

there has been a mistake on his nomination form for the draft and it has spread from there, as for which is the correct pronunciation of his name I don't know

As far as I'm aware its always been Wirrpunda.

Where was "Wirrpunda" mentioned? As far as I know, it's still "Wirrpanda".

I thought the confusion was between "Wirrpunda" & "Wirrapunda"

then why does the official Eagles website list him as Wirrpanda????

Wirrpanda is the correct spelling.

It's pronounced wir-pun-da, but usually it sounds like wi-ra-pun-da.

still totally confused, like i have said he was never called wirrapanda and nor was it spelt that way anywhere i can recall up until this year has alway been wirrapunda must be some indigenous reason :?
