UK Fan, quit trolling. You used the term 'moron' five times to deliberately antagonise. Consider it a warning.

I'll make this point and then won't waste any more time.....

Booing a player for switching clubs is done in jest, it relates to the game and as I said it's a cultural part of footy.

Booing a player for his personal indiscretions and integrity of character is a different story. Yes I think it's bad taste for the general population to take the moral high ground, whether it be Bock, Carey, Cousins, Didak or anyone else accused or found guilty of a similar type of offense. I haven't and won't boo a player in those circumstances as I've made enough mistakes in my life and learnt enough lessons to know better.

But hey, continue calling us all morons UK Fan if you think it strengthens your argument

cant we start a poll on safooty.

bigger crime.

a) changing football clubs.

b) being arrested for assaulting a female.

you gollums are unbelievable defending assault as a mistake everyone makes.

but changing football clubs well he just brought it on himself obviously. different people you gollums is all i can say.

Scott's crime was to accept a longer termed contract with another club.

Nathan Bock on the other hand. Beats his missus but if you "boo" him it is deemed as inappropiate, and you wonder why people call crows fans <trolling>.

i only heard booing once and that was when he missed his first shot at goal. how many games have you been to where a player who has left one team for the other and not got booed......???

Relax all.

Forums like the Crows and Power are setup for the idea that Crows and Port fans in there own space can discuss topics about there clubs and not get into the "Crows suck" "Power Suck" type situation that tends to happen when someon is trying to have a serious discussion about a certain topic.

That sort of banter is not what this area is for, why I like football banter and beileve is such a integral part of being an supporter, Keep it civil and mostly in the general AFL forum area.

Cheers All.

You mean they allow anyone to barrack for the opposition at Football Park!
Chuck 'em out, I say!

But I guess they have to be let in at Power matches - can't have the oval empty for the match.

So it's not OK to be critical of the Crows / Port in associated threads, but the other 14 clubs that have threads on the AFL forum, it's open slather ?

Problem is if you start a thread in the AFL room being critical of the Crows / Port, it usually gets moved to the associated board, and then bingo, you're in their "own space" ?

There's being constructively critical and then there's non-sensical blatant trolling. Are you truly defending Jar Man Out?

The Neil Craig thread on the main board is alive and well with strong criticism and defence.

BigFooty is no different with their club boards. If I went on to the Carlton board on BigFooty and called them all gollums (or whatever his latest term was) and baited the Cartlon fans post after post where do you think I'd end up?

Problem is though Hondo, that the other clubs haven't their own board. So therefore what I say stands. It's OK for certain posters to post rubbish after rubbish about certain clubs and troll in their associated threads, but if it happens in the Crows / Port room it's not ?

Just because someone chucks a ;) , or thinks it's in good humour doen't mean other readers don't think it's a troll....

I think you'll find mate, the original intention of the site was to specifically target SA Footy, and naturally the Crows and Power form a significant part of footy in SA hence they have dedicated Forums and the others don't.

I can understand concerns, but at the end of the day it's pretty hard to set rules that will suit everyone

If every club boos x-players and its commonly accepted. Why did the melbourne fans boo Nathan Bock but never once booed Scott Thompson a former Demon ???

Sure you aint just making it up as you go along boys.

Fact is UK Fan was blatantly trolling. Debate and disagreements are fine, but open abuse and name calling is not fine, in any forum.
