BLG Ump would be able to shed some light on this. If this is true the umpire in question needs a good talking to.
I'm pretty sure no matter who is first on scene needs to do whatever is appropriate, and both myself and the umpire in question have senior first aid certification, so unless you
a) do (have SFA) as well
b) were no less than 20m away from the incident
c) have dealt with this before
please do not pass on judgement.....

From what the talk is about the subject is that 20 people and a number of players even called out to the Ump not to move the player. If Ump's like yourself have a first aid cert then should you not see if he is breathing and leave the body alone. Not just pull up his arms and say " you ok".
From what I have been told. BLG Ump you were more than 20m away.

All umps don't have their first aid certificates, but all do have police checks. I think that if you think the umpire is responsible for the health of players, what the hell are the club's trainers for??? We have a hard enough time looking out for ourselves as is evident throughout this forum, so the chance of us looking after players is less than zero.
Again, anyone whinging about the supposed incident on saturday will be comforted by the fact that the CLUB HAD NO ISSUES...

Thinking Angaston in for a chance this week, but still sticking with Barossa.
Centrals to win comfortably over the Donny Brooks.
Freeling to breeze though just like last week.
South to get over Kapunda and will look to be in the 4, unless a narrow margin.Footy Boots wrote:this week should be interesting. should be four clear winners. will be good to see a upset or two
I wouldnt be suprised if Angaston beat Barossa this week
