Congratulations to the WAFL who until next time we meet wear the label of being the second best competition in Oz after the AFL

Really ? If that's the case, when we used to beat the Vics in State games, did we claim the title of No 1 Football state in the country ?

Having said that....congrats to the WAFL.....hopefully they get some mileage out of this over there and get a few going back to their league. The crowd looked pretty poor over there from all reports.

Interesting that 2 of the players mentioned as line-ball selections were Crows rookies ;)

Good on you, Wedgie, about Ferguson :)

No frills, just gets the job done.

That's a poor figure, just hope that in 3 years when we face them over here that we get a fair bigger crowd then that.

I wondered at times if Mike Ball had resumed his umpiring career.

As mentioned during the call there were a lot making use of the Subiaco and East Perth Social Clubs which provided a great view of the ground out of the cold.

Result to be expected considering we brought over a second-string side.

Well, the game reinforced the misgiving many had about the selection. Too many blokes picked on a hunch, on reputation or out of position. Apart from the bizarre non selection of the Gowans and O'Sullivan, Damon White picked in a position he's played very little in (albeit he's doing ok for North at the moment, but not well enough for state selection as CHB IMHO), Dabrowski picked for no apart reason (perhaps he promised to bring the beers?) the only dogs player a guy who isn't in the dogs best 10 at the moment. We got caught out playing the wrong style of footy and it seemed like DH was trying to get another 10 goal win, magically unearth some gems and be hailed the new messiah. Sorry, Darel, but you might have thought that's what Blight did in '97 but there was more hard work and thought go into it than that. The first thing you have to do is make sure you win, and the only way we were likely to be beaten is in a tight tough match. And you left out some of the best around for that job.

OK.

Question to dogs supporters (and everyone else).

Start with the side that took the park on Sat. Who would you specifically remove from that side and which FIT Centrals player(s) do you replace them with?
