1. Darren Jarman

2. Mark Ricciuto

3. Andrew McLeod

Pity we couldn't pick a top 5... ;)

When I watch those premierships on Video,

OH Darren Jarman,

Pity we couldn't get him earlier.

Pity we couldn't find another as talented as him.
Smile :)

I selected 'other' & can't believe he wasn't on the main list.
Rodney Maynard gave away many inches and kilograms standing the best CHF's in Australia.
Negating or beating 'the best in the business' many a time, while still managing to run off
down field to show struggling Crow forwards how to kick a goal.
He'll do me thank you very much !

Mark Bickley,

What other Crow Player has captained the club to two flags? How many flags did Riccuito lead the club to?

How does that make him the greatest Crow?

It's not the first post in this thread to reference back to the 97-98 Grand finals to find our greatest player and it doesn't make sense to me.

Using that logic, is Tom Harley a greater Geelong player than Gary Ablett Snr? Or Barry Hall a greater Swan than Bob Skilton?

I think Ricciuto is one of the biggest reasons why the Crows haven't been able to repeat the 2005-06 form since. We miss his strength, skill and leadership very badly. Bicks was great, yes, but not the greatest. I wouldn't even have him in my top 10.

Freo really struggled with that. McLeod what a legend and what a ironic achievement breaking the record in Indigenous round.

The three votes in here for Bickley must have been Caro Wilson, Mike Sheehan and co...

not to mention the freakish skills and goals in both premierships by (in my opinion the greatest footballer ive ever seen) D Jarman. without him would bicks be a premiership captain?

Best to watch would easily be D Jarman, A Mcleod and Tony Modra- all matchwinners and why we all go to watch footy week in week out. Dont know if this makes them the greatest Crows but for viewing pleasure alone they get my vote.
DJ my favourite out of the three- could do almost anything on a footy field, a true 'footballer'.
It's a pity we don't see many of his ilk play AFL these days.

An interesting split in this poll - some favour inconsistent but at times brilliant players like McLeod and Modra, while others favour more consistent but less spectacular players like Ricciutto and Edwards.

2 x Premiership player/captain & played 250 + games. That suggests he's earnt the right to be included on the list.

Anyone for Peter McIntire???
D. Jarman handed the Crows who preimerships on a silver platter. Those two flags have pritty much moulded the club into what we all know today. If he isn't the greatest crow of all time he sure as hell was the most influential. Don't forget the 1997 prelim either........without Jarman we wouldn't have even made the GF. All the picks for Roo, Benny Hart etc I do understand though. Roo was better for the Crows for longer and the Brownlow kind of seals the deal.
Choco Williams Lives!!! We have seen the REVOLUTION come and go. You have "LIVED THE CREED". All you Power people are now gonna have to "KEEP THE FAITH". Slogan for 2010-11 PAFC.....or is it PAPFC.......I never get it right.
