well if you kick 10 in a game and are leading the goal kicking for the comp you would surley think he would atleast get and invite over JACK MADJEN.

I think that Jack Madjen is a better player than Liam Smith. Jack has a better around the ground game. Anyone can lead out of the goals the take a mark. I think that club coaches have a say on who is to be picked.
I think Max doherty as captain. What a joke :P He is a hot head and when it starts to get hard he starts swinging. Well he is only being told what to do from his coach.....

have to agree with that... surely someone else is a better leader than max... plus i heard from a source (who doesn't play in this association anymore) that max was out having a few beers friday night... he would wanna hope his coach doesn't no his so called star captain was out drinking the night before a game...

I was there that night and I think Max is more than entitled to have a drink for one of his closest mates 18th's. I think you'd also be hard pressed to find a better on-field leader in that squad than Doherty.

i agree that having one beer on a friday night isnt the worst thing in the world but the fact is max is [b]NOT[b] a good leader and there is at least half a dozen of that squad which would get a gig before him. he has a terrible attitude problem and the fact that it goes unnoticed by the umpires dissapoints me. got nothing against the bloke but that is the truth

Ablett wrote:like i said... I WASN'T THERE... and you still didn't answer my question "so when did he turn 18 then... if he is 18 then it could only be recent otherwise what he doing playing under 17's... "

that is just stupid of course he is still only 17, october i think not sure[/quote]

Maybe he just plays the game with a bit of passion, nothing wrong with that. Terrible attitude problem is a bit of a joke to be honest.

definitely nothing wrong with playing with a bit of passion... maybe he isn't having a gwd year... and yeah the boys at freeling may love him as a captain but there are 6 or 7 blokes that are better leaders in that association squad...

Did anyone see the Central V Barossa game. I was told that a player from Barossa was head slammed into the ground right infront of the Ump. The player was also knocked out and the Ump went to move him. If this is true 1.were is the free? 2. What the hell is the Ump doing moving a player? Don't they get told not to move a hurt player.
If I see it I say it.

BLG Ump would be able to shed some light on this. If this is true the umpire in question needs a good talking to.

I'm pretty sure no matter who is first on scene needs to do whatever is appropriate, and both myself and the umpire in question have senior first aid certification, so unless you
a) do (have SFA) as well
b) were no less than 20m away from the incident
c) have dealt with this before
please do not pass on judgement.....
