Talking to ex Richmond Players Wallace lost them 18 months ago. No game plan that the players believe in.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Wallace just looks tired to me, burnt out if you will. Every time I see him speak he just shrugs his shoulders all the time.

Booney wrote:TERRY Wallace will remain as coach of Richmond following a crisis meeting at the club this morning.

The Herald Sun believed the club had decided to sack Wallace until the senior players had a robust discussion with president Gary March this morning, confiming that Wallace has their full support.

Wallace was not at training this morning, nor were senior players including captain Chris Newman, Matthew Richardson and Troy Simmonds.

Tigers captain Chris Newman and football manager Craig Cameron will have a press conference at midday today.

Newman told the assembled media it wasn't true that Wallace was sacked.

But there is no doubt he will be, FFS man, just walk away from the job that is clearly no longer yours...

You have to question the Herald Sun's eagerness to get this story out to confuse us all before the facts had settled.

I'd love to be able to laugh at that, but being a Woodville and now Eagles man, I can't really - fall into both categories  :(

Man what is going on?
I would have thought that after the weekends game he would still be worth something to them. I mean they came interstate and nearly took the points.

it's tough to say what's going to happen, there needs to be some sort of change and imo the coach is only a part of the problem...

since wallace took over they have finished 16th twice ('04, '07) 9th twice ('06, '08) and 12th ('05)
previously Frawley had them up to 4th in '01 and lost to brisbane in the prelim (who went on to win the flag) but then dropped to 14th and 13th in '02 and '03 and was then sacked part way through '04 when wallace took over...

ther problem runs deeper than the coach, much deeper i reckon anyway!!!
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

How can Wallace keep going back for more?

I admire the man for wishing to see his contract out and fullfil his end of the bargain, but if your position is untenable surely you move on head held high. If you hang around and wait to be pushed I dont see where that gets you?

At this point in time,IMO,the club is not holding itself above the individual.

Why should Richmond be rushed by the media?

They pushed Port to the wire and if they had won we wouldn't have had the circus today (although it probably would have happened next week or the week after!).

Good on Plough for having the balls to continue on.

Let a proper decision be made at the end of the season when everyone has had a cold shower.

Good post. Richmond shouldnt feel rushed by the media, but I feel there fans will be spured along by the media in asking for his head.

Perhaps Terry believes he is making a difference and at some level his message is getting arcross. Or perhaps hes believes the can still get out of the crap. I dont know maybe the man is made of sterner stuff than most media types :?

Don't you just love this "full support from the players" tripe? If they really supported Wallace over the past 5 years, why have they played so poorly? If that's "total support", who needs it?

Because most of them simply are just not good enough. Look at the players Richmond have drafted since 2004.

Deledio (1), Tambling (4), Meyer (12), Pattison (16), Polo (20), McGuane, Limbach, Graham, Knobel, Oakley Nicholls (8), Hughes, Casserly, White, Riewoldt (13), Edwards, Collins, Connors, Peterson, Kingsley, Cotchin (2), Rance (18), Putt and Gourdis. Did not include 2008 because they have not had enough time in the system.

How many of these players if this was your club and you had the benfit of Hindsight would you want. Some really ordinary recruiting has not helped them one bit.

Bunch of weak bastards. They can't hit a target so it's 'not a game plan we believe in'. I feel sorry for Wallace. How unlucky can you be....he remains Richmond's coach. What a rabble. Take some ownership FFS.

Deledio, Cotchin and maybe Rance but that's it. Then again, we could always bring back Kent Kingsley!
