Great news for the 14,000 ( less the 2-3000 Port fans ) that were there to see him on Saturday night.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I put $20 on Ziebell at the start of the year to win the rising star so fingers crossed he continues his form.

From what i have seen so far Ziebell & Hartlett look to me to be the 2 standouts of the 2008 draft crop*

* Of course the 1 & 2 picks are yet to play.

Rich has made a fair early impression and Hill has started to make his mark in recent weeks too, so Hartlett might be just behind them through games played .. Ziebell seems to be the most consistent of them to this point in time though.

Keep a quiet eye on jack grimes, now that he's fit and playing
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

That is what evrybody said about Rich in the first 3 games. Hill is coming along very nicely. Masten played well on the weekend or at least showed some signs. Watts and Nic Nat still to play. I think it is still very open.

I saw the JTYD having a whinge that JZ might not get a Rising Star nomination because " He's from North Melbourne so nobody would know about him" well if you talk crap and whinge about things they wont get any better.

Laidley had a period of time where he looked to rip into the media when he had a chance, now he is sulking because they pay his club no attention?

Where was that quote? Link?

Probably referring to the Barham nomination, debuted, got 20 possies, gets the nomination....took JZ 7 weeks of averaging nearly 20 possies to get a nom

How many did Barham get on debut? i thought it was around 28 with about 10 tackles which deserved the nomination.
