HOLLAND/MONTGOMERY disgrace.

Talk on the national game

HOLLAND/MONTGOMERY disgrace.

Postby mal » Sun Sep 10, 2006 10:30 pm

In previous posts I have made mention of players lining up
players at stoppages and charging into them.
Other incidents I have brought up are :
MCCABE/BUTCHER
BELL/JUDD

Today I saw it again HOLLAND/MONTGOMERY in the CO V WB elim. final.

Holland at the first bounce vee lined for Monty and smashed him in what
appeared a deliberate pre-meditated disgraceful action.

I have heard from fellow posters that players need to be AWARE !
MONTY was focussing on the ball and appeared not to see HOLLAND.

MONTY and the Bulldogs had the last laugh, when Monty kicked a few
sausage rolls and proved to be a match winner when shifted forward.

It must stop.
I say suspend them for 6 weeks, that will stop it.

You'd think he'd get 2-3 but the ironic thing about it is Monty has no problem with it!

If Monty had a broken jaw and the Bullys lost, he would then have
a problem with it.
Off the cuff I wonder what Monty really thinks of Brodie

It was a massive hit and Holland DID NOT have eyes for the football. this is the thing that is most worrying to me. Full marks to Monty for picking himself up and getting on with the game and as history will show, He had the last laugh

Agreed 100%. I roared obscenities at the TV when it happened, and got told off by my Mrs..

She spent the rest of the day gardening.

Anyway, have just secured flights to Perth and accomodation...

Listening to the radio coverage, amazingly Rex Hunt said just
before the bounce that HOLLAND was gearing up to do something[or words to that effect]
NostraREXamas pre-empted a pre-meditated occurence !

This is a Collingwood player your talking about. He won't even get reported, and if he does, the Eddie McGuire Football Club will get him off (prolly in more ways than one)

Tough one to call on,I think Montgomery, and he has done this in the past, was charging into the square to make a similar statement to the one Holland made on him.The problem I have with the Holland bump is that it is front on,this should be a suspendable offence, but as I said,if Holland didnt get Monty,Monty had his own agenda.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

This will please the mob justice mentality, including the low I.Q.
Who here (some intelligence required) feels that the bump was worth 5 games? A bump ffs, not a raised elbow, snipe behind play, but a bump.
F**k the AFL & it's PLayschool Tribunal.

Open season for those who get their rocks off of on Collingwood being persecuted....

PUNK, put HOLLAND in a Saint Kilda guernsey and you
would be screaming for 12 games suspension.

No it wasn't a snipe behind the play, it was a snipe next to the play. You cab't just clean someone up when they are not a part of the play. You might as well go line up someone whos sitting on the bench. At least they'd be able to see you coming.

Although I love the tough stuff Punk, I think he should still have got 3-4. When you watch a replay of it from a certain angle, Brodie almost trips over the ball to get Monty.

He actually got 4 for this incident - he had 2 games added from priors in the past 3 years to make the 6 games...
