Two teams on the improve from last year, both with upside still to come based on current injury list.

Will have to think a bit further before making a tip.

Will be live on LifeFM 107.9 / http://www.life.on.net from 1.30pm on Sunday.

I'm with you Phil, really looking forward to what should be a beauty of a contest...

Early stages was leaning towards Eagles but Powell out is a blow for them so maybe North just in a tight one...

He didn't play against South Phil and IMHO this injury has caused him problems for most of this year.

Passadore not in good shape at all and as previously posted the succession plan needs to be activated...if and when he gets back he will still need 3-4 in the reserves as Ron has previosly done with him. Salters injury has unsettled us, I think Staple is next in line but he also has a niggle, Hill, Cullen & Mc Entee could also fill the spot. Powell is at least 8 weeks away.

Passador only 80 % right after initial injury and then jagged it again, hence another 4 weeks.
Powell hernia/groin operation so expect lengthy out.
Archard out a big plus for Eagles.
Shame Schwarze out as I'm sure he would have been physically tested by the Eags. I would have played Stewart on him and got Stewart to run off him on every possible occasion to see how much defensive action Schwarze showed.

That would have been good as Schwarze's defensive action has been fantastic this year, a very impressive player.

I don't know about his defensive action but i agree it's bad luck he's not playing because i thought it might be the first time i see him find an eagles jumper - he has to be the clanger king!!!

He's a very accurate kick for goal, but there's no other place he's suited to other than full-forward.

If Sloane is half as good as what I've been told from a fair few who have seen him in Vic, along with some tapes I've seen, North fans will like what they see. Tough as nails and very clean disposal.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

He looked very good in the trials but Im sure he'll probably be used sparingly missing a bit of match fitness.
The game looks great on paper perhaps with only the Eagles looking a bit short of depth up forward.
A great test for both teams, I look forward to it!
Just a pity it wasn't Saturday as it would have only clashed with Hawks/Carlton and West Coast/Freo games as it now clashes with 3 AFL games and the V8s!
