Whilst yesterday's result was disappointing you do have to stand back and appreciate Centrals level of play. They are an awesome team/club and set the benchmark for the rest of the league to aspire to. Looking forward to playing them again this year hopefully at least another three times.

Don't worry smaccer their were no reports of radiation sickness at our recovery today so like General McCarthur we shall return!!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

What a great win by the Dogs!
A win in April means nothing though - the boys will need to keep working hard to achieve the aim of every club, a premiership.

BTW - having worked at the Salisbury Fasta Pasta for three years while at uni - it comes as no surprise about that accident, especially on a wet, dark day/night.
It's a terrible spot and we'd see accidents and near misses there regularly.
Been a trouble spot for years and needs to be fixed up.

We peaked to early last year we where playing our best footy before round 16/17, atm we are stuck in second gear. Obviously it would be good to be playing better but i think if we can hang in there and start to find form near the end of the year we have the team to challenge Centrals in the finals. Not as settled last year either, no excuse but with a few out we just aren't good enough, a few players to come in that will make a difference (Hall, Grima x2, Murphy, Block, Lally) plus a Tom logan come finals time maybe, i'd rather us play our best footy at he end of the year then now.

I trust that you defused the situation by planting a gummi bear firmly into his mouth?

You are always fairly harsh on Sansbury,Dutchy.I would take Sansbury ahead of any of your stars from the Bay.Tell us how good McConnell is and the Kangaroos, what a rubbish side they are now.I reckon Eddie would be glad to be back.

Centrals are a bloody awesome side.
They made our blokes look stupid.

Anything short of a premiership for the dogs this year will be an absolute failure.

Sansbury can get the ball, but he constantly burns it no matter what comp he is in. So the Roos are rubbish now that Sansbury has left, id that what you are trying to say? :?

I reckon Eddie would be glad to be back also, who would want to play another year at Nth Ballarat! :D

I agree with Jardog and Dutchy to an extent. Sansbury has been a fantastic addition to the doggies. Deemed best on ground last week and for every game thus far being a good contributor. Dutchy is right that his foot skills could improve, the part of his game that lets him down. However as Jardog said I'd have him in my side before any of Glenelgs current forward 6. At least he's getting the ball.
What an awesome game !
After attending a "disappointing" dawn service at Norwood due to the fact they had some Salvation army American or Canadian woman give the opening address/preach, I wasn't in the best frame of mind. I hope they realise for next year it's about the ANZACs not God, and it's Australian and New Zealanders day. Anyway despite this average start to the day what a finish. The dry weather skills of Central and determination were superb. The accurate kicking was a welcome turnaround from last week.
I thought Williams attack on the ball was brilliant. I was a bit worried when in the first quarter Glenelg got two goals from free kicks that this could be a sign of things to come. First free, fair enough, second free against James, what a farce. However, it didn't matter in the end.
Well done to all that went, given the worst conditions for some time. I think it was a fair crowd given how easy it would have been to stay home and watch it on telly.
Still early days though.

Wasn`t saying that Kangas are crap because Eddie`s gone.He wouldnt make a difference to the way they play.Yes Dutchy Eddie needs to work on his disposal but there are a few from both teams on Saturday who need a lift in that area.

Am bays "I reckon this game will be closer than some people are expecting. The smart money is still on centrals but I will not be surprised if we actually put in a better effort this game in terms of work rate and adherance to the coaches game plan that what we have in our previous four."

Am bays "Given the ladder position of the Centrals 17 and 19s last year and the handicap clubs face in not being able to nurture late developers in the U/19s this year I would think Centrals reserves might struggle given that SANFL clubs now have to play kids in the ressies this year before they are quite ready if they want to keep them in their clubs."

This Justin McConnell bloke has to get serious soon surely? the amount of time he wastes trying to milk kicks and generally acting the fool is crazy.
Looking at Centrals their versatility, even quality, and 4 quarter effort is way ahead of anybody else.
