Here is the club representation:

Centrals - 6
North - 5
Sturt - 5
Glenelg - 4
Eagles - 3
Port - 3
Norwood - 1
South - 1
West - 1

At this stage, I wouldn't expect Callinan to play because of his hamstring issue and missing the next 3 weeks and great to see Ryan Williams awarded with selection, will surely make the final 22. I am very suprised that Brayden O'Hara and Chad O'Sullivan didn't make the initial squad but in saying that, if they keep in good form, selectors can add to the squad as they see fit.

From the initial squad, there looks as though a good side will be created. Might have a crack at it and see how it compares to my initial predicted squad. Really looking forward to the trip over there, will be great fun and hopefully we will see a big victory for the Croweaters.

Yes, yes they are Kookas...

As long as they are only rookie listed and haven't been promoted to the senior AFL list through the season like Port Power did with North Adelaide's Wade Thompson.

Last year Nick Salter played for SA as he was still a rookie at Port Power. I would expect Brodie Martin (Sturt & Adelaide) a real chance to play as with Danny Meyer (Glenelg & Power) but I thought I heard Schmidt (West & Crows) did a shoulder and would be out for a while.

If i was the coach my side at this current stage would be

F: Havelberg Chambers J.Clayton
HF: O'Sullivan Alleway Crane
C: Meyer C.Gowans Schmidt
HB: Williams D.White Thomas
FB: M.McKenzie AhChee Panozzo
R: Meiklejohn M.Wright T.Allen
INT: J.Gowans Parry J.Allan

Obviously with any state side there are going to be unlucky players my main ones been O'Hara, Backwell, Sheedy, Vlatko and Gum. Due to Ian Callinan's hamstring injury i didn't have him available.

Yes, I know Dutchy, I was only egging you on and my initial squad I picked didn't include him because I wasn't sure of the extent of his injury.

If you have watched the replay of the game Dutchy, you would see that Mouse was favouring the sore shoulder on a couple of occasions and was grimacing in pain in one of the breaks. Also, in once instance, actually intercepting a handpass from your mate Sansbury with the opposite arm becuase his sore shoulder could have got knocked.

Maybe he came back a week too early but of course, the medical team at Glenelg wouldn't have cleared him to play if it wasn't right, perhaps just a mental thing where he was a bit more conscious of it and was being a bit cautious with it.

Anyway, I agree with his selection and if the shoulder is right, he would be in my final 22. As for Sansbury, I'm not 100% sure, but I think you will find that players returning from the AFL are ineligible for 12 months regardless of whether they are returning to their club of origin or not.

Ruck looks to be the biggest weakness with that squad.
Is Dabrowski seriously a better bet than Ackland?

Agree on both points, but I said the same about O'Hara and O'Sullivan from Centrals who have been in good form. This can change like I mentioned, players can be added still and the 3 boysmentioned in this post would have to be a chance if they keep up good form.

Had confirmation from a Westies fan that Schmidt did injure his shoulder and is likely to be gone for the season so that rules him out of the state side and opnes the door for others perhaps ?
