rip, yes i agree with the sentiments of everyone else, i'll add that when m.nunan got him out to north there were sceptics with 'how can a basketballer play footy' he proved the sinics wrong, won a jack oatey medal & played vfl/afl for sydney, i loved his work on abctv as did many others, he always seemed to be a happy person

RIP
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

remember seeing him in the 87 gf - played a great game - was alllowed into norths rooms that day & as a 10 year old he told me if i wanted an autograph i had to hold his beer, he then said "if your dads not looking, you can have some" nearly became a north supporter that day, RIP Mike

That's a great story PFWB, and no doubt a memory you will cherish for a long long time...

I agree with the sentiments about his Boundary Riding with the ABC, I watched an old Centrals VHS the other day and agree about him just being a very cheerful, happy go lucky bloke.

Tragic loss, very sad news... :(

Was sadend and shocked to hear the news.
Always liked Mike Parsons as a footballer, he seemed to play the game as it should be played, hard and tough but could smile about it now and again.
Seemed to be a great guy too.
