Yes, this is the ABC game being broadcast but also note that they will be covering the West v Norwood game on Sunday also.

PhilH usually posts the upcoming media broadcast allocation for the SANFL games, send him a PM...

Really annoyed that ANZAC day is on a Saturday this year, I can't go due to local footy; fear this may detract from the crowd;
- Local Footy
- AFL Games
- ANZAC Services/Celebrations
- etc
Crowd of about 4500 i reckon, still its not bad. CDFC to win by 8 points

Also, does anyone have any pictures of the ADELAIDE OVAL in its current condition ie MEMBERS STANDS not existing

Cheers

WTF ! Want do you want the "calendar" gods to do ? Move the 25th to another day ?

ANZAC services/celebrations....umm don't they happen EVERY ANZAC day no matter what day of the week it falls.

IIRC there was local Footy last year as well, and the AFL will have the same impact as other years.

I share your fear bayman. On a fine day I reckon the margin would be 60-80 points. Wet weather might be the only thing which saves the Bays from embarrassment.

Of course if the Tigers showed up fully pumped and ready to play 4 full quarters, I'd think differently, but as of yet they've not done this in a match this year.

They still mostly exist. Lots of pre-demolition work has been going on though.

I think the stands are still physically there, but the seats have been removed.

Will this mean that an area of what's left of the ground will be cordonned off as a temporary SACA members area, or will what's left be open slather?

from the SACA website -

Please note - there will not be a members enclosure for this match. 2008-09 member and transferable tickets admit entry to the ground. However, due to the Western Grandstand redevelopment there will not be a members enclosure for this match, therefore, guest passes and dress standards do not apply.

Dunno why they couldnt fence off the Bradman stand for Members only :?

Because they make more out of the general public in the bradman stand bar/cafeteria than if it were members only.

Doubt it, as Members have nowhere else to go it would be packed...plus it would be nice if they looked after the people that put $$$ into the oval

Been to an ANZAC day game recently? Bradman stand usually has more people in it than the members area.

And is it that bad sitting with the riff-raff? I'd rather not sit in a members reserve at AO, the only thing it had over the general area was the bars. And you can wear a shirt without a collar as well!

Agree Id prefer the Hill anyday but given the forecast of 17 and rain it would be nice as a member to have the opportunity to get under cover in a members only area

I'm pretty confident Centrals will win however I think Glenelg will have a completely different approach to this game compared to last Sunday.

I know its a much used cliche but one of my pet hates... unless extra time was played last October and the GF ended in a draw, Saturday's game is not a grand final replay. It is a match between last year's grand finalists.

By the way, all of the above matches were standalone matches, although in 2003 and 2008 Norwood and South met at Norwood that evening.
