Hay 2 years to go, judge him then, Mark Powell already gone didnt play a game so I dont understand your point?, Daniel McConnell showed good signs, will be good in 07, Jade Rawlings bullies paid his $ so worth a punt, Shane Harvey disgrace this one - cost us Aaron Davey, Lance Picioane servicable - had the talent, didnt have the head, McKernan Superstar of the comp, your point?

Hay, is being paid $500k a year so he can be judged now, Rwallings was a hack on one legg and a waste of a spot on the list, Powell quit the club 3 weeks after the trade period, Harvey no need to mention, McKernan, two goods years the rest shite and recruited back to the club when he was absolutely rock bottom

Schwass v Grant, both has been good players for their respective clubs, but Schwass has left a legacy at the club, he set the stamdards to training and preperation unseen at the club before his time, while Grant continues to get himself in trouble off the field

my point, The Roo's recruiting strategy has been appaulling at best, and sometimes you need to measure trades by total impact and value to a club

Dutchy, North re-drafting McKernan for the 2nd time is no better or worse than the Crows picking up carey and it could be argued the Crows got more out of Carey despite what it cost them compared to what North got out of playing Mckernan the majority of the time at Port Melbourne......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

get you facts right SD

Hay is on $400k a year - obviously got problems that were not disclosed to us

Rawlings - worth a punt when your not paying for him?

Powell - can we help it if a player quits? I remember a coach at the crows walking out on its club?

McKernan - 2 good years? 2 flags, all australian, should have been a Brownlow medalist! (and would have been under todays rules)

Schwass / Grant - so you reckon Sydney got the best deal here?????

When you finsih in the top 4 for 7 straight years you dont get low draft picks - even you can work that out.

So some smart Recruiting has helped...Pickett, Bell, Blakey, Scholl, Rocca, Grant, Wells, Thompson, Sinclair, Colbert etc etc....now thats gives some much needed perspective

McKernan in his last year for us was dominating for Port but Laidley stuck with Hale for his development, he was only ever brought over as insurance while Hale developed

Hay 400k a year too much, given he has not played a solid year for 4 years

Powell, surely during your interviews and selection you can determine a players motivaztion and passion to play for your club, efforts could of been focused on another player

Rwallings, it's not just about money they could of been developing another player in his place, waste of a spot on your list

Pickett you dumped, Bell left the club, Blakey how far back to you want to go, Scholl as per blakey, Rocca good player but under utilised by current coach, Wells great potential but time to go to another level, Thompson I will reserve my judgement as the club gave away two top draft picks for his services, Sinclair don't rate, Colbert agree

Schwass, Kanga's lost Duel B&F and Premiership player, Syd gained a B&F and All Australian as I mentioned Schwass stamped his foot print on a club, in his professionalism and the way he trained and prepared himself

don't kid yourself, you did not trade a dud for a gem, it;s no McLeod / Chris Groom trade

MW

Mate if I seen sinclair's name on the opposition team sheet, I would not be too worried about getting the match up right

Who said Sincalir was a Champion? BTW he has had 3 very servicable years...

Bell & Pickett went home, we didnt get rid of them - who drafted them when no one wanted them and gave them the best footy memories of their life?

Id could go back as far as 94 as that is when we became a CONSISTENT top 4 performer (hence no good draft picks)...thats something the Crows would love to be...

cant claim McLeod as a trade as he hadnt even played a AFL game or been on a list, Freo only had an entitlement to him if they wanted him thats all

Dutchy

He was a trade, he was listed with freo and the trade was macca to the crows, chris groom to Freo, then I believe Groom the dud went on to play for the Roo's

McLeod never ever spent time on Freo list or spent anyttime in WA other than a day or two when discussions were taking place.

Agree it was a trade, but he was never over there (they traded the entitlement to him)
