Talk on the national game

Rob Dickson

Shocking to hear that former Hawk, Australian Survivor winner and renowned documentary maker (The Passion to Play, Essence of the Game) Rob Dickson and his five year old son were killed in a car accident in South Africa.

He was a true football person who gave a lot back to the game he loved.

How freakish.
We had ACT Brumbie Shawn McKay pass away last week, indirectly from a car accident.
I'd be keeping away from South Africa if I played any code of football.
He would have played in Hawthorn's 1989 Grand Final if Scott Maginess had not come up.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Apparantly one of his son's also died the same day in the car accident.
only to find out today that his other son has also passed away from injuries received from the accident leaving only his wife remaining.
very sad indeed
