I also have Raines :( + Deledio who had a bad game points wise

Positives however for me were Judd, Kruezer and Jacobs as a bench ruckman

Deledio still scored a 100 so considering he played very poorly it is a pretty good result really. 100 is there abouts.

Kreuzer was good, very good score for a second ruckman. Hopefully he can do that for a lot of the year.

The SC site only has Deledio as 60 points. Are those scores unreliable until Monday?

Ah i am not sure to be honest. I use footywire to track my players during the weekends and it was spot on last year, unless they have changed the points system?

Footywire has a SuperCoach column and a Dream Team one as well.

How will the mighty "Taints" go for you this season?

Could be off to a shaky start with a few injuries in the first game, but hopefully the rookies will step up as they learn the game.....not unlike the real St Brendans ;)

picked up 580pts from that game. i have Richo, Simpson, Houlihan and Newman in triple figures then N. Brown and Edwards who weren't the best. i also have Andrew Browne from richmond on the bench who picked up a miserly 11pts...

Cousins was always a danger pick IMO.

I had Raines too, hopefully not a bad injury, you heard any verdict?. Had a reasonable night with Murphy, Judd, Kreuzer and Richo all scoring over 100. Jacobs will certainly be a cash cow if he keeps playing as well considering he only set me back 83K.

Yeah but he looked ok in the pre-season. I'll have to do a rethink there and get the maximum use of the inevitable trade. I've got Judd, Scotland and Robinson who did well and Cuzzy, Raines and Deledio who did less well. From what I've heard so far is that Raines is not too bad but not a good look for a bloke who missed a lot of footy with a knee last year.

REB

What are our individual assessments after R1?

Personally, really pleased with the games of Skipworth and Higgins in the midfield. On the other hand, my forward line was very average :(

Very happy after round one but I know Otto isn't going to rack up 175 every week. Expecting more output from Deledio, Cornes, Pavlich and Selwood to make up for Otto's normal 70 per round output. Will need to burn some early trades to fix the midfield now that the Cuzzy gamble hasn't paid off.

Cornes, Pavlich and Selwood were all down so expect them to lift in coming weeks for me as well. I to will need to use a couple of trades to sort out a few chinks in my armour but given the games dont start until round 4 it does not really matter if you dish up a couple of lower than average scores as long my team is fit and firing when the real stuff starts.

Is it too late to join any leagues here?
Not too bothered, but since I managed to get a team together in time for round 1, thought it might be more fun.

Score wise, I did well with some cheapies in Skippy, Petterd and had Rich as an emergency who will be used for Liam Anthony.

Had a number of premium duds though (who should come good) and my forward line needs to be reworked.

Came away with 2121 for Round 1 - I am very happy with a few of the bargain pick-ups in my team.

Hayden Skipworth scored 110 and Shaun Higgins 141 - for players that only cost me approx $220k each, this was an awesome return! Don't know if they'll be pulling scores like this every week though. Will also be looking toward Pavlich, C Cornes and Selwood to put in bigger performances than they did this week.

I scored only 2,051 .... mainly because 7 of my 13 premium guns didn't fire. So hopefully there's upside for me. I also didn't get on the Skipworth bandwagon but at least I got on Higgins.

It ranked me 20,000ish which seems OK at face value, but I know it puts me 200 or so behind the experts already :(

Gary Ablett being captain saved me this week

I now have to sweat on Hodge's tribunal hearing
