SAV'S NFL SHOT

Postby THE CHIEF » Wed Aug 30, 2006 12:26 pm

Sav Rocca has booked a try out with the buffallo bills 2 days after his last game with the roos. i know he has been playing gridiron in the victorian comp so i rekon he would be in with a real shot.

Can't help but feel that age and recent injuries may count against him.
I know he only has to kick the ball but how old will he be by the start of the 2007 NFL season? 33, 34. Even if he makes it, I doubt he'll last much longer as a starter than 2 seasons.

If Ben Graham can make it, surley Sav's got a shot, bigger and more powerful kick...sav also kicks the ball high which is what the NFL love...wouldnt suprise me if he makes it...hasnt graham just signed a 7 year deal at 32?

Don't worry fellas, I'm aware of Graham's situation and how long punters can play for but I'll bet here and now that Rocca will only last 2 seasons as a starter even if he makes it.
Graham is physically far more sound than Rocca.

Where did you say anything about accuracy?? You mentioned Power and I reckon that Benny would outkick Sav any day of the week in terms of distance and hang time. Sav can make in the NFL though and good luck to him, I guess the only way I could conclusively back up my opinion is if Sav does make it in the NFL and then we could compare the stats....he hasn't done it yet so we'll just have to wait and see won't we. You haven't backed up your opinion either because you hauled out a totaly irrelvant statistic to back up your claims.

I was disappointed the vision we saw of it didn't show Sav's reaction.

Would he have cared? "Oh well, sat on me ar5e again. Used to happen every week."

Wonder why his opponent had that crack at him.

Gold. Good to see that vish.
He got up, just like it was a footy game.
And then laughed on the sidelines.

She's right mate.

Well done Sav Roke-ah.

I don't think Sav ever copped a hit like that in the AFL, he must wondering WTF is going on in the NFL!

Luckily for him he was wearing his helmet, chest pad, knee pads, shin pads, mouth guard, box, elbow guards, elbow guard guards....

NFL. What a stupid "sport".
