Just a few things that have got my attention, obviously interested in peoples thoughts.

1. Didak bump, given Roo's suspension couple weeks ago I am a little confused by what is a legal bump and what is an illegal bump.

2. Plenty of talk today that Cats senior playerrs have registered a "no confidence" vote for Bomber

3. Ben Hart, should he play on, my view our defence is strong and have options to cover the loss of Hart over the next year or two, given Ben's last two seasons, his age I think we should free up a spot on the list for a young talent, not sure if the club will make that decision though

1. Didak should of got a week
2. Bomber will not coach Geelong next year
3. Ben Hart should be given one more year for nothing else but in recognition of his service to the Adelaide Footy Club over the journey

MW

But do we want to see Ben go around again if he can't make the best 22

I think he will struggle

Too many champions go that 1 year too long, Smart was a good example

Veterens list - then he doesnt take up room on the list. Im sure he is prob already on it!!
He hasnt played that much footy in the past 12-18 months, I reckon he will play on next year.

Hmmm strange how the Crows have started losing games/players since I deposited a large bet on them to win the GF *shrugs*

with the injuries he has had i think he should pull up stumps and get into an official capacity with in the club if he hasnt already. agree with smart comment. hart should go out on a good note and that hopefully is with another G/F medal :D

my understanding is that you are only allowed two players to be listed as veterans, Roo would be one, so this leaves Hart, Goodwin, Edwards and Macca who would all be over 30 next year,

the veterans list doesnt give you extra spots on the list so they still take the position of a younger player....all the veterans list does is show only half their salary in the cap, therfore allowing you flexability to pay the others on your list.

i think some people lose the plot when we suggest we give a player an extra year due to his service to the AFC. IMO he's had a fantastic career thanks to the AFC. but agree with REB bollocks. bring in some new blood hart can be covered easily we've been doing it the last 2 years :D

other footy talking points

Aka - demons and bombers seem to be the front runners for his services

Hawks, sign 5 year deal to play games in Tassie, but the deal also includes naming rights, not sure how hawks members feel about being called the Tassie Hawks

Pagan to be axed and end up at Geelong, Barry Mitchell or Silvani to get the Carlton gig

Interesting how a club can claim to be broke and need afl assistance but then pay out 2 years remaining on a coaches contract

Memo to AFL, Place some stronger guidelines when it comes to handing out rescue packages

Memo to Melb based clubs, time you boys start getting your shite together

I doubt Pagan will go, won't be surprised that Bomber does.

Part of the equalisaton payment they get comes after the AFL viewing their business plan and cash flows and I can assure you that paying out Pagan for 2 years ($1.2m - he left the Roos as we would only pay him $500k p.a.) wouldnt be in their budgets/plans.

Pagan isnt the problem...he was handed a dog trying to run in a horse race...doesnt matter who you are if you dont have the cattle you cant expect performances, they need to think long term....Pagan will coach them next year for many many resons.
