some b grade players are pissed off and have decided not to play because the coach of the last two years was not reapointed. I played under him and he is a great bloke and a great coach but i am sure the pres and his team have there reasons for not appointing the coach again. Most players have moved on and have been out to training, some have chosen not to play or are chosing to play elsewhere eg Dennis Rice. Although disapointing that some guys have moved because great blokes to have around the club, the club has picked up a few extras and hopefully will have a good year. No need to dwell on the past anymore.

Reason Why he wasn't re-appointed was he didn't attent the Presitation Dinner at the
end of last season! He was on the Gold Coast Holidaying with Family! He booked the
holiday 6 months ahead! Our president has issues!
Shemp is great bloke & a good coach - I know he got alot of players out of the woodwok
during the season when we were short on numbers with injuries etc. Shemp had
the uncanny nack of getting blokes to play ie. J.D., Hendo etc. I think Chris the new
coach will struggle to do this!

typical one bloke in everyclub, doesnt play just has a vip pass to the bbq van and sits on the sidelines telling people how he could do so much better. The facts are mate that the majority of people on the commitee busts there a%$ getting work done for the players and the club and probably could not give two f%$k's of what you think. I love it how blokes rave on about how good they are and what they would be doing but when it comes to the crunch wouldnt even put there hand up. You have lost my respect signman and a a lot of other blokes around the club.

Internal trial at Goolwa last night which went smoothly. A solid hit out, with some positives to work with. Some of the young blokes impressed. Popey umpired (in the lime green outfit!), he will be one of the better umpires this year. He actually talks to players, explains decisions and knows what hes doing after being so fresh out of the game.

LF i had a quick chat with Popey last Friday night and he was loving umpiring. Great to have him i reckon and will be a very good umpire.

Doesnt like the Lime Green tho, reckons he will be in the orange in no time (i hope he stays in the lime for a bit more, it suits him  )

Sounds like a good one LF. How did the new guys Ewer and White go?
