Is Mitch only 25-26? He looks like he is getting along a bit in recent times. Not knocking his ability, just hasn't aged as gracefully as some of his counterparts. Still a nice looking man though.

Portlock certainly deserves some form of individual recognition within the league.
His style of play is eye-catching, and being somewhat of an impact player, he is of the mould of a player that warrants an accolade such as the MM. Hopefully this is his year.

portlock's liver would look the same as a 60 year old alcoholic's. Surely he doesnt look that old! what does that mean for the rest of us?! The only reason megatron won all those medals is due to his ability to transform into a forward/ruckman/full back/onballer he makes up 90% of the team..

I'm guessing most teams would have trial games lined up for this Saturday. Who's playing who and where? Langhorne Creek will be playing against Keith in A & B Grade at Hawk Park.

Not Far Off the mark mate score at half time (End of 3rd) was 29 goals to 2 Bay goals, Bays looked terrable except 2 new midfeilders Andy Hargraves & A new solid Black fella, They need
a ruckman to give us first use of the ball & Centre Half Forward to straighten em up.

Cyclops & Cuzzy has the new coach implemented a game plan Yet?

Was there the write-up in the times last week regarding 2 teams? I assume they would have been Mclaren and Yankalilla as they finished 7th and 8th last year.

I didnt manage to get a copy of it, Damian posted the stories on here about Goolwa and Pongy.

Cheers

Signmans TOO Old & Fat, 38 next year - Will leave kit upto the young Fellas. As for the Glove,
more defenders should use them especially over the winter. Big Punches & Smothers you have no fear. Just ask Chad Cornes.

Yeah there was an article on those 2 clubs, i managed to get myself a copy. I noticed that Yank have picked up a guy by the surname of King from Port Magpies. He should be fairly handy.

i counted roughly 11 clearances out of strath and only 2 in. Does anyone know of a reason to suggest they won't go backwards fairly significantally this year? and McLaren had more clearances out but a few more in? Are they in trouble too?

Think you might only get an A trial. Apparently Keith have lost about 10 or more from last years GF side and are sure to have others unavailable. Hard work to replace so many in one season let alone for an away trial.

he sure has mate "kick more goals than the opposition" then again that might be the same as last seasons.

Mclaren are looking good, i know that alot of the clearances out of mclaren are people who havnt played in a couple seasons or have played the odd B grade game here and there. the only standout exits are henno and if you can say hockey!

There are a couple of quality lads that have left Strath but most the clearances are from good B graders heading to play in the hills league. I'd imagine with the quality of youngsters Strath have they will be able to fill these outs. The most noticable out is Russel Tucker who has moved I think due to work commitments. Not too sure what their inclusions are like but I would think Strath will be a better team then last year - though every team in the comp looks like they will improve in 09

Must be the young fella Steve Saunders, either first yr under 17 or still under 14s. Nephew of Mick Saunders.

i see Ben yeomans has put in to be cleared to goolwa, qaulity pick up for goolwa and will join his bro. Ben is fairly young dont think he's even 18 yet but is a quality player and tipped to be an AFL draft pick one day. Should see him the A's this year.
