Jarred Redden's tap work was impressive against the much more experienced and bigger Ackland.....he has bulked up since doing the preseason with the power and is develpoping nicely......

Goss was nervous at the start and dropped a relatively easy overhead mark early on but he plugged on and was involved in some ball movement through the corridor a few times.....he did well for such a young fella !

he gave away a couple of frees for high contact during the ruck contest but he didn't shirk....and that was noticed!

great learning curve for the kid to get the call the night before the game......

similar build to young Bock......

by the way Jay Cheep was the highest player at the club sponsorship auction @ $1,500.00

I see Nick Gill played. How did he go and do you think he will get a regular Crows guernsey this year with Hentschel, Walker and Tippet playing forward? Would be nice to see him in the Red & White for most of the year not the Red, Blue and Yellow.

Just as it was for Luke Powell who looked like he needed the run after all his off season operations . Just being the seconds runner against Port wasn't quite the same.

the big guy who looked out of sorts was white(he had a bald head) i think for North he got caught with the ball a few times.

My lad and I were talking about Gill Saturday .And my lad thought the Crows recruited Gill as a stop gap measure(no offence meant to any roosters fans) either waiting for Hentschel to get right or retire.Plus he played last year to give the likes of Walker that year to get used to SANFL and be prepared for the AFL.

Gill IMHO if all the other talls play for the Crows will have a very good run with the Roosters .And Ben Schwarze has found himself at another SANFL club with tall AFL players playing forward .

U18 North def Eagles with a little help with the buzzer person (not me as North did this)

I'm glad North cheated to win an U18 trial game- our whole season depended on winning that one...
