Goolwa / Port Elliot Junior Colts are looking for a trial match opponent on Saturday the 28th of March at Goolwa Oval to start @ approximately 10:00am. We are playing Aldinga on that particular day, however their age groups dont match up with ours. If any GSFL club is interested PM me to organise.

Depends on the player. It could be any combination of $$ , :partyman: , :weedman: or

I sit back and read all this s**t about how much Willunga pay their players to stay, from people who probably dont even know whats going on around their own club.

The fact is Willunga have a very good culture & they retain players, they do not need to keep buying new ones in every year once a player has milked what he wants and moves on.

No doubt they would pay players, but it would probably be a lot less than what is thrown out on here.

Pretty sure every club would be paying a lot less than what is thrown out on here. I think we all know that those figures are fairly exaggerated. Some of what is said is more than SANFL players get

saying that though it is a known fact that some sanfl players can get more in country than they can playing sanfl, i had a mate playing for westies, was borderline reserves one year and was getting offers from south east, he knocked them back and played league the next year. These offers got more and more and far outwayed his sanfl offer. along with the money he only had to train one day a week with blokes in adelaide so he didnt even have to travel for training. He didnt take the offers and probably wishes he did because now he is at Adealide Uni playing after having a bad year in the sanfl and is on okay money but not as much as what he would have got if he took offers when he was at his peak. It would interesting to see what players like say brett (or brent) Backwell get at Glenelg. I know we were looking at getting two blokes from Kilburn at the bays and they were getting $450 out there and wanted more for them to come to us? What would an average SANFL player get who starts every week for his team?

I reckon regular SANFL starters would be on somewhere between $500 and $2000 per game.

Avaerage going rate for a player with credentials and/or limited AFL experience is $600 with bonuses on top - $2000 is a big stretch and would go to a gun in the SANFL.

Cuzzy and GA
This fact...
This guy is a regular League player
$5,000 retainer
$750 per League game
$250 for an injured game up to 5 games per year
Works out at about $20,000 per year.

I think the SANFL clubs still have a salary cap of $750,000

So would it be fair to say that langhorne creek would be paying around this for sherwoods services? taking into account he needs to drive up there for training etc. I did recall some talk that Hough (hoffy) captain from the bays think he played his last year in 06 at the bays then retired, was lured back to keith for around $600 per game in 07.

SANFL Reserves then earn themselves approximately $85/match, it's these players that leave to play Amatuers or Country football and get a minimum $150 but up to about $400 for their services. Someone like Moore who has great credentials would not play for less than $600 (even at his grass roots club).

Know for a FACT that Moore played at his local home club for way less than $600 per game!!

Does this mean you two will piss off until games start before you enlighten us again with your football wisdom? If there wasn't talk about recruiting at this time of year what would there be to talk about? No one is forcing you to read this. Add something valuable or rebut what you don't agree with specifically. Comments bagging an entire topic just prove that you're the idiot for reading what you obviously don't like.
