MICHELANGELO RUCCI - You are a clown

Postby sydney-dog » Wed Aug 16, 2006 7:39 pm

I refer to MICHELANGELO RUCCI story in today's advertiser "Everyone knows how to stop the crows"

Directly from the article

DENY the Crows first or clean possession at stoppages. Here Adelaide has been under increased pressure in recent weeks.

MOVE the ball quickly - particularly with handballgenerated run - to stop Adelaide's preferred game style of putting extra numbers behind the ball.

STOP Adelaide defenders Graham Johncock, Andrew McLeod and Nathan Bassett from setting up rushes from defence through an empty central corridor. The new "zone" strategies being worked against the Crows defence have notably affected Johncock in the past month.

Memo to Rucci

Hello McFly, anyone there

If you deny any side first look at the footy at stoppages, move the ball quickly and stop the run from HB thru the coridoor you will go a long way to winning the game.....

No rocket science their, even back in the 80's way before Craigy started coaching, key elements of the game

1. Get your hands on the footy first

2. Move the ball quickly to your forwards to give them at least a one on one contest

3. Generate run from HB and control the coridoor

Rucci, your got to be kidding, this is standard footy strategy

His 1998 article on the Crows when it was stop, Smart, Caven and Hart.....

His spent all yesterday doing Hitaf Rasheeds work as the Power media manager, he had to whip up an article quickly to meet his deadline....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Rucci is so busy at work that he hasn't even got time to read the sports section of the paper he writes in either that or he loves himself too much.

true story i saw him reading the sports section at about 7pm in the KFC on Henley Beach Road

Ok im going to say it hes right. Yep he is right!

If a team gets first use of the ball, MOVES the ball quickly to some tall timber and Stops the opponent from generating run out of defense. Then yes you will beat the crows. And yes you will beat the Eagles. And yes you'll beat Sydney and Yes you'll probably win every game you play if you can do that. So I hope we can all get together and say thank you captiain Obvious for saving the day.

If you don't like what his article is about, send him an email through The Advertiser. I have done so in the past and he promptly responds.

I've done some work at his house (briefly & externally), first thing I noticed was that he had SANFL club stickers all over his rubbish bin... Was he showing support, or was he telling everyone what he really thought of the SANFL?
As an independant observer of his writings, I find his "roast" to be an opportunity for him to do some pedantic whining.
Mind you, the mind numbingly boring garbage written by the others (who just cream their jocks to be able to write about AFL) makes Rucci credible.

We are a two team town, which, over the past 10 years has only had one team performing well,so,of course that team is going to be over scrutinised. It's the only way it can be.If you read the Herald Sun day after day,you would find yourself in the same position, reading the same journo's quickly becomes mundane.

The problem with Rucci is,he is the Chief Football Writer giving him an open slather to what he wants to write,no one giving him advice or criticism.
He,sadly, also thinks his sense of humour appeals to every one.Sorry Rucc, you just aint funny.

Port fans like myself can only cringe at the shite he serves up.

Then in his even more carp column "Rucci's Root" or whatever it is called, he has bagged users of bigfooty.com, saying that they should not be allowed to post the comments that they do (in obvious retaliation to the comments directed at him) and that it should be shut down.

Soon he will call for a ban for people talking in front bars of pubs about him, because that is really all bigfooty.com is, a place where people put forward their points of view...

Has the sources and an abundance of knowledge
but for mine is too far up himself and too abnoxious.
His style of writing is better suited in our site as the
egotisical know all is never ever ever ever wrong

The Adelaide Advertiser is the most crappiest paper for Sports. The geelong Advertiser is alot better AFL wise. Sure Geelong is a one team town but all the games get better mentions in it than the Adelaide paper. Rucci bores me the guys is in Love with himself more than KG loves himself. Rucci wouldn't even get a gig writing up Sports reports for the Colac Herald. The problem with Adelaide is that the Cows rule the roost whilst Port are the ugly ducklings the same happens in Perth with the Eagles and Dockers. The problem is that Adelaide does need a Second paper ie the News or somehting like that. Adelaide can afford to have a second paper. Melbourne has the herald-sun Vs. the Age. But with Saint Rupert ruling the papers it will not happen.
