You've got your finger on the pulse BJ.. you know more about what's happening around Langhorne Creek than I do!! I can confirm that Todd Dellatorre will be returning from Warrnambool in a couple of weeks which will be a big boost for the club.
I didn't realise "the Shark" was a goal kicker! 17's a fair effort at any level. I look forward to seeing him in action when training commences at Hawk Park tonight.

Langhornes trying buy another premiership like last couple of years wonder if it will work this time

Option 1 - Keep going through the motions and let Willunga go through undefeated and win their 6th straight flag.

Option 2 - Recruit 3 or 4 handy players and try and take it up to Willunga and make the competition interesting.

with the talls and onballers Willunga have no one will get within 6-8 goals! Next 3 flags!!!

As much as I would like to believe that its unrealistic SB. We need to rejuvenate our list over the next few years otherwise we are in line for a fall sooner rather than later.

With the creeks pick ups i would say they are more than capable of beating us. Without knowing what other sides have exactly and recruits starting to surface now we will have more of an idea in the next 4-6 weeks. Its naive to think anyone has the premiership won in February!!! Ridiculous infact!

Interesting looking at Points for clubs with the clearances
An example for you all to see...
Encounter Bay carry over from last year
Wilkey 2 Walker 1....3 points
Recruits
You would think that Toff, Mitch, Tama .....3 points each equals 9
Carry over 3 Plus Recruits 9 That gives them 12
Allowed 11 for 2009

Waite, Murgatroyd, Hargreaves are also on the list
Are they worth points??

I’m not so sure that Willunga will have it all their own way this year. From last year’s side. Wadewitz, Carpenter, Steele, Thomas, Baxter, Genovese, Ryan, Huizink, Radbone and Carnevale are all the wrong side of 30 and therefore can’t be relied upon to be certain starters. Langford is gone, Garrett will be playing cricket for Australia and add to that the fact that Andy Groom and Brad Haskett are fat and have brains the size of peas. That leaves a lot of work for the remaining players.

Lets not forget that the Creek beat the D's three times in 2007!!!

Come on BJ
Pump the club up a bit mate!!!!
You are starting to sound like an AFL player being interviewed.
One game at a time, respect for the opposition so they don't have any ammunition.

Ive not bagged my club, im also not on here to gloat about winning, how good our side is etc. As cliche as it sounds (very) every year starts the same. We have a quality list and some very good players but that doesnt guarantee anything!!! Baz and Gaz are very hot on getting the work done and keeping the fire burning.

Yetti without respect for the opposition you leave yourself wide open to be humiliated. I still remember the verbal crap we copped from a few mclaren lads in 04 after we WON the flag, a far different scenario than the year before when the roles were reversed!!!

I got a little bit excited when i had 2 x T.Rigney registration forms on my desk, but on closer inspection they are 2 x 12 year olds Tyson and Tyrone who are of junior colts age. Related to the famous Goolwa Rigneys, I just hope they are half as exciting as Trevor of Jervois fame.

It's an interesting topic that one Limb and I was thinking about it the other day. No one would deny that the players you have recruited are exceptional. If you have the money why not recruit the best players possible whatever the cost. But looking at the blokes you have recruited, all of them are 30+ aren't they? How long do they hang around for? With the points system is it worth splashing out and recruiting the best possible even if they are old who may only stay for a year or two or is it better to recruit slightly younger blokes who will hang around for 3-5 years? Because potentially these 3 or 4 gun recruits could all play one year and retire leaving you back at the drawing board and potentially worse off next year.
But a Premiership is a Premiership???
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

Your kidding arent you? You must be Adrian. Yank have produced 3 AFL footballers, Greg Whit (Magarey medalist), Koster & Gowling (if a pre season game counts). However he was exciting to watch.
