GSFL Movements

Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

I am suprised there is not more talk about recruits. Surely 2,3 or 4 weeks in to training there are some new faces out at clubs. Who will play their cards? Whos new? Whos gone? And are then any big names signed?

I think you'll find Thompson played multiple games in the Hills league over the past 2 years, but his lack of game-time is only due to commitment to another code.
Fox has played about 15 GSFL games in the past 3 years too. Get your facts right.

Ben Baxter re-signed with the Demons during the week LF. Reportedly old enough to play superrules footy so we will see him sparingly throughout the season, that elusive state jumper he longs for is there for the taking in the over 35s form of the game!!!

Portlock will not get anywhere near the Mail Medal and theres more chance of Ben Thompson playing A grade this season for Jervois (theres an idea for ya WoW) than Brad Thompson playing A grade at Goolwa.

What does he offer J Lo?

Physicality, an imposing force in the midfield, gets the hard-ball, quick and clean disposal, WAFL experience, versatility, footy smarts, and a good club-man.

 Impressive, cant believe i've never heard of him. Looks like Portlock will be runner up in the mail medal again with Thompson in the league  . I was sure mitchy would win it this year.

Who is this 'portlock mitchy' fellow? never heard of him?

Is it the same S Fox that is having dinner with Victor's Grant Levy tomorrow night? In very high demand.

This forum is set to get a bit more exciting.. the GSFL website has now been updated with all the clearances in, out and within the league so far for 2009. Hoepfully this will mean this forum can have some interesting discussion about the GSFL and we won't have to hear the names Fox or Thompson mentioned.
