Most valuble Centrals recruit

Postby Big Phil » Fri Jan 23, 2009 8:03 pm

A few other teams are starting up polls for their best recruit so I thought I'd start the Doggies one...

I think Eddie Sansbury will be a great pick up at SANFL level and it's great have a premiership player home...

I don't know much about Habel but he comes with some good wraps, may just take time to settle in...

Kyle Jenner might be the unkown or X factor having not played SANFL for 24 months and I reckon he will go well...

But my vote will be for Justin Hardy. The big Tassie lad comes with great wraps and he is so important to our KPP stocks...

There may be a couple of more recruits to announce and maybe added to the poll at a later date, but for now this is it...

How can anyone vote on this or any other similar poll when a game hasn't been played? :?

This site has gone poll crazy.

Why not, I said that Jimmy Allan would win the Magarey before he'd even played an SANFL game. :D

There may not have been games played yet but surely there is nothing wrong with discussing names...

I've seen, and many others would have seen Jenner and Sansbury play live and Hardy on TV so there's 3 out of the 4...

It's just a bit of fun Smithy, surely you know that as we fast approach footy season, those having withdrawals put up silly polls and posts...

Plus, like Wedgie said, some like to make predications on how certain players may end up going...

I'll stick my neck on the line and make Dutchy happy by saying his favourite ever player, Eddie Sansbury, will win the Magarey Medal...

It's all good mate and I understand.Image
Without discussion there is no forum.
Still think there is poll overkill though.

Sansbury will be valuable for the opposition, when he kicks its straight to them or fumbles at critical moments :D

Sansbury will go ok. who else has kicked 5 in a GF??????? Not many others thats right so let Eddie go he is a good footballer maybe not a great AFL footy player but a good SANFL player. He did kick 5 on a brownlow medalist :D

100% agree and remember those 5 goals were kicked on a guy who would go and win the brownlow medal. At SANFL level Eddie will be a star who can play all around the ground.

Onto the topic i think Hardy's ability will say alot about how the Dogs can structure this year. Laird has said in the messenger a couple of times he wants to play Schell and Havelberg up forward all year together.

That leaves us a little slim down back so if Hardy is quality then there is no issue but if he struggles Schell or Havelberg will have to play defence.

IMHO watch for Lawry to make a name this season as a Center Half Back

When he gets to sooky all he has to do is open up his top drawer and stare at his SANFL premiership medal and everything is all good again. ;)

My recollection is Sansbury didn't kick all his goals on Cooney. Cooney went forward later in the game and kicked goals too.
