has any great southern teams played in the loxton carnival over the years? Bays are thinking of entering this year. Good numbers again at bays training last night with 30+ blokes running their asses off.

Have you been able to lure Thompson down to Goolwa LF? Word on the vine is he trained last night and impressed with both cardio and skills, also knows a few lads and fits in well.

Is there anymore news on Nick Warren's movements ??
I just read on the Whyalla forum that he has moved to town to take up a teaching position and that he is unsure whether to play in Whyalla or go back to Langhorne.

Creeks may be better served by banking match payments for a season or three till the Demons loose some talls...

Losing talls? They have 33 kids under 17 that are already over 6 foot. You'll be waiting a while!!

Just picked up 'The Gooch' to. He's got a bit of size about him. At 22 and 23 Brad Haskett and 'The Gooch' potentially give the Demons a fair set of book ends for another 10 years.

ex rooster wrote:Hi I have been looking at this forum for a few weeks now, I am no longer involved with footy but used to play B grade for Strathalbyn back when Linton Bishop and Rob Donaldson had the top coaching position.
I noticed last year they went well but I have not heard a great lot about them for 09, does anyone know in's/out's for the roosters and how they may go?

What did you think of Bishop as a coach?

I played in the B's mate but from trainings and what I seen and heard he was very technical and studys other sides games/individuals alot, he seems like the type of coach that can desighn a game plan to tackle most oppositions and he can exicute it well but can sometimes struggle to motivate some guys.

I heard a similar thing from the Encounter Bay guys, so it will be interesting to see how he goes out at Morphett Vale this season. He has a very talented side to play with, but from talking to a few of the MV boys they do need someone who will motivate them.

Panther, suggest you get some new contacts from MV mate... Cause your sources are cr@p, you are obviously not talking to any that have played in a premiership so they have no idea what drives an individual... Bloody hell we are not talking about U/14's, try grown men..!! The days of frothing at the mouth before running out onto the oval are well gone and only waste energy..!!

Oh and my MV sources tell me that you have no sources from MV..!!

Cop that..!!
