CROWS midfielder Brad Symes will be sidelined for eight weeks after having casts placed on both hands in the wake of a training mishap on Friday.
Symes hitched a ride back to the changerooms on the back of a small vehicle when he lost balance as it negotiated a speed hump.
The 23-year-old, entering his second season at West Lakes after being traded from Port Adelaide, finished up with a fractured left thumb and a broken right hand after attempting to cushion his fall.
