Good to hear mate. So victor is the home of teamwork next season?

That must be a typo Teamwork, I am sure that a GSFL club would have more than 16 out on the first night of pre season, especially with a new coach on board. You haven't asked for a clearance but I have a heap of forms at the office. Call in and I can give you a hand to fill it out.

First week of January is way too early to start. Let them burn out LF. Willunga have the right idea in the first week of February. When do Saints ts start?

Saints wont be doing pre-season, but the magpies will be on deck at 1800 hours on the 15th of January.

Still very un sure mate and going to see what happens with a few mates and the commitments they are able to make, Victor are just more than happy for me to train with them and see how I feel in a time.

Gee LF I was actually having a chat with another ex Goolwa player about what I and we should do but by the sounds of it Goolwa are more than happy to see 0 point players at other clubs so I guess we will go to a club thats happy to have us around.

I dont think any club would be happy to see 0 point players leave, but what else can we do. We have a new president, a new coach, we have recruited key players, have retained the players we require and are set to double last years sponsorship. The B grade coach is pulling people out of thin air to be able to bolster numbers. What do you actually want? Do you want money or do you just want to feel special? If you like I can get Simon Dennis to ring you daily to pump your tyres up.

If that is the case why hasn't Jurek been apraoched by the club as mentioned in an earlier post?
However it is good to see Saints/Magpies moving forward once again. never a dull moment at the club. Every year there is always something happening, which makes the other clubs look boring.
Expectation again in 2009.

Nothing happening that would be different to any other club, expectations are to improve on last year. Our biggest concern is which changerooms to use. It seems that the new visitors rooms will be better than ours. We can have that.

Good luck with your footy TW. Has Bays talked to you at all, because there are a few from Saints coming to the Bay in 09? Or is it that you have more mates at Victor?

No contact with the bays TW, only reason Victor is on the cards is due to having so many good friends playing.

bays dont start training until 13th of Jan, just 8 blokes out last night doing a bit of a run, the coach gave everyone a xmas program but think everyone is starting to panic as i know ill be running everynight until the 13th just to get a few kms in the legs. Dont think you can expect many more than 20 to pre season this early, i would think 16 is a good sign for victor this early considering alot of people are still on holidays this week.

Yeah this early i wouldnt be too concerned with those numbers. You would hope they pick up to around 25 by this time in a fortnight and stay at that level.

Do we know if Dale Ellis has gone to Victor for sure? Any other news on recruits?

As I said a few apologies and a few still sore from days out water skiing and on a house boat so they showed up but didn't train with in 2 weeks I would be expecting 25 regulars minimum. Not sure about recruits BJ just know that as previously stated Tom Ferg wanting to head back to Goolwa instead of his early signing to the Bays.

The offer to Fergusson to try to get him to change his mind is pretty good, so it will be interesting to see how Bays handle this one as he has signed!

Goolwa offered Tom something did they? I thought it was his own call to go back to Goolwa?

how does a contract work in toms case, can the bays prevent him from playing in the gsfl if he breaches his contract. It seems weird to me that he wants to though, everytime people see him from the bays he cant wait to get away from goolwa so not sure.

Money is confusing the situation for the young fella and he should honour his contract with the club. Prescedent being set at Saints/Magpies with the offer! Few local boys with the same ability want the same deal, eyebrows being raised around the traps.

I am sure LF will tell us what is going on, if Tom is being offeres something by Goolwa I wouldn't think he would be telling all the other local lads. Whats the offer TC?

I can tell you TW that if Tom does want to come back to Goolwa [ who knows how much truth is in that] he will play at the club for nothing, like the others that have come up through the Junior grades, unlike some clubs in this league offering Junior talent around the clubs within money to play.
