Chaplin talked up as future leader of the Power? haven't heard that one before!

If I was a Collywobble I would be worried about this appointment as it reflects poorly on the whole squad if Maxwell is the best person for the job.

Good times ahead, really good times ahead.

He is about as good as Chaplin and he is talked about as future leader so lets hope he never skippers the power because that too would show a serious shortage of genuine candidates.

Please see thread title as this has nothing to do with the thread. If and when Chaplin is ever appointed Port's skipper we shall revisit this.

IMO,he never will.

( S.Burgoyne now,Boak next by then Chaplin will be just about gone)

Was always in the box seat to get it. People should not be overly surprised..

Who else would you select? Fraser? Personally dont rate him. Pendlebury? Too young IMO. Who else is there?

Very hard to judge captains as many people dont know how many leadership qualities these players actually have.

Wore 43 before he was given Bucks' number this year.

Seriously though I heard him interviewed this year and he was quite impressive...

At least they name their Captain before Christmas, as usual the Power will wait until mid March like last year  that worked well

Collingwood people seem to rate him very highly, and they would know more about it than everyone else I would guess. Same thing with Newman being named Richmond captain. Not many other supporters may know a lot about them but they are rated very highly from within.

Good luck to Maxwell, I think he'll go alright.
