How about clubs get their act together with putting scores into mycricket. Sheidow took forever this week and two games arn't even entered. Pathetic.

Maybe you should do it for us mate? You seem to have plenty of time on the computer ONCE the scores have been in late due to the fact there were no books to enter them in and 2 games were a bye and a forfeit maybe thats why they arent entered? We have them in come saturday Night latest Monday maybe you should look to bag some clubs that dont even enter there sides in at all.

is his career over? a change of guard at ramblers, atleast we wont have to fetch balls from the tennis courts in round 11 if he stays in the b grade

i just noticed that ramblers put on 56 for the last wicket that saw them get too 127. that wicket alone could be the difference between a mitchell park outright and a mitchell park loss. ramblers are still a big shot having them 1/3 as mitchell park do not bat that well!

If, as a captain you say a ground is fit to play on when visibly its not and a player of either side injures himself, where do you stand if he pursues it further. It might not applicable to section 1 when we have umpires, but the lower grades have to deal with it every week. I was in this position last saturday and both captains agreed that if an umpire was present he would of called it off.

good question mate but that is why there are the insurance sheets for the home team to fill out each week. I am not sure if the captain would/could be held responsible as you choose personally whether you step out onto the field if you think it is unsafe. I think the insurance would cover everyones bum in these cases.

Unfortunately Gilly has been unavailable for the past couple of weeks due to work commitments. He can only play 1 week this game as well, hence B-grade.

Bit of a pity as he won our batting trophy last year and 2nd the year before. Plus side is - its giving some young blokes a good opportunity to show what they can do. Hope to see him back after Christmas back in big-hitting form.

AF and I were going for the record 10th wicket partnership, but my lack of ability stopped us half way. Stil, it gave us plenty of ammunition to get stuck into the "batsmen" after the game and then that night. AF and I are pushing for a reversal of the batting order next game!

As much as it pains me to say, AF batted really well then picked up their opener in his first over. Should be an interesting first couple of hours on Saturday.

Very good question, Bazza. Being that we live in an increasingly litigeous world, I'd err on the side of caution and if it were me as captain, I'd choose not to play, especially if its the 1st week of the game, there's always next week.

The other way I'd look at it is for the sake of the equality of the game. The toss of the coin could essentially decide the result depending on the conditions. Why not just play a 1-day game the following week in equal conditions and hopefully much better ones at that?

That's my take. For the record, I've never been a captain.

how bout this on the weekend... sheidow v icc sec4 bloke from us bowled 3 overs before being stopped by the icc captain... name wasn't on the team sheet... our captain made a genuine mistake and put someone else on there so he now cant bat this weeks and he is a gun... surely u would let it slide in sec1 let alone sec4 hard wicket... i didn't know the winner down there gets a sheep station

Agreed Jb normally it would slide but i guess the ICC bloke is technically within his rights to do what he did but as you say there are no sheep stations on the line so it is a little petty.
