wont happen against the seahorses attack!! :Hangman:

i have to admit that i agree with that, but he would be one of the few players who can tee off and put bowling attacke under real pressure defending a score. on the other hand if he is out early ND are likely to fold

Sturt and Southern are playing a XXXX Gold 50 over match this Sunday 9th Nov in the country at my home Cricket Club, Langhorne Creek. We are located in Sturts country Zone and are one of only a few country clubs to have Turf pitches. Can guarantee that anyone who comes along will be well catered for with a Bar, BBQ etc.
Fingers crossed with the weather that it should be ok. 11.00 am start. L.Creek is about a 20 minute drive from Mt.Barker and 10 mins from Strathalbyn for those uneducated city folk. Have heard that Taity will be in attendence but wont be playing for the Blues as he'll be resting for the shield match the following day. Hope to see a few city slicker supporters make the trip up.

Wot a great day it was.
Great Pitch, Oval, Facilities and even the Weather. No comlaints about anything apart from 1 or 2 umpiring decisions of course.
Southern Stingrays 177 All Out in the 50th over.
Sturt replied with 5/178 (48.3 overs).

ND did it pretty easy in the end with a few boys sharing the load, i think the bays already had this one marked down as a win. they would have to be pretty disappointed with there bowling effort

not a good effort with the ball at all by the boys... very disapointing to lose that one after putting a fairly reasonable score on the board the previous weeek.. so much for our unbeaten run every grade lost bar our super D's which crushed ND bowling them out for 48.

Must have mistimed it badly to hit a sweep to mid off :) .

We have 2 missing in the C/D grade. We made them play in our Turf side last week one of them made 94 not sure about the other.

A few more will be heading down after cricket and presumably if they are club men after the round presentations.........I'm not holding my breath for the latter

Younis Khan is reported to be lining up for Sturt this weekend. Will he make any runs or be a failure?
