I heard a rumour that horse may be back at the saints. Any truth in that rumour? A good quality pickup for St. Pauls if the rumour is true.

The word is that Ovies did'nt have too many at their first training last night. It's only early i suppose but if you go on what happened this season then blokes will get a game without training so why would they bother going anyway?

As far as I know Mick O'Brien is coaching the A grade out there. He's a triple premiership captain and the word is he has the respect of all the boys.

I think you'll find a couple of clubs on here that dont get much of mention have recruited quite well!!!

Very cryptic post Milo

yeah maybe a couple clubs have stated bout there pick ups or how many they've had out to training but few others have kept there cards close to there chests and have pick up a few players.see what happens after new years things mite be a bit clearer!!!

It's best to wait until next year until clearances can be submitted. Recruiting isn't so easy when you can't offer money. We have a couple of new players that will play A-Grade who came out with mates for the pre-pre-season stuff. Hopefully we'll get a couple more in similar circumstances in January. I know the coaches are still working on three or four good players who aren't interested in coin, but can't make a decision until after Xmas.

This question is in response to a few of the posts. How many clubs in Div 7 do you think pay players? I do know CLG threw around a bit of coin to the quickly rise the division (although I think they are still stuck in 6, no)?

Not trying to have a go, but I would have thought if you were an emerging club or one going through hard times, paying players would only hide the real issues, such as junior development, player retention, and attracting good club men?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.
