We are hot favourites in the Metro Division final to go "back to back" as well!!!

I wonder what all those detractors who say North only buys players and does no junior development will have to say now???

Are there any other decent Centre Half Forwards coming through? We could do with another to take over from Grocke in 7 or 8 years...

What they will say is "How many North Adelaide juniors are playing in your league side?"

Helped West has it with your plethora of juniors? How are all those hack imports of yours going For example Wiggins?

Poor old Wiggo, everyone's favourite scapegoat.

I'll tell you what, drebin, if we're talking junior development, how about we both name a side of our Club's juniors now playing AFL and SANFL and also name a side of imports playing in our SANFL squad.

I'd confidently say that our team of juniors would belt yours and your team of imports would belt ours.

Point proven.

We can all bring up the those playing in the AFL arguement - it's the SANFL not the AFL. If your juniors are so good (thos still at the club not in the AFL system) why are you looking at back to back spoons in the Seniors then? A poor coach maybe?

You forget despite our "imports" we have blooded the following juniors into our league side this year: McIntyre, Pfieffer, Edwards, Martin and Ebert. McIntyre and Edwards have kept their places so far.

P.S. We had Craig Burrows a few years back - he was our "useless" scapegoat!

I would have thought my response about juniors playing in the AFL and SANFL was very relevant to your original question, drebin.

Maybe but you and a few others (and on the other site as well) can only see North "buying" success? We have our junior talent but we are not as inclined to throw them to the wolves any ealier than we have to these days. The really good ones go onto the AFL in any case and are lost to SANFL clubs so you cannot exclusively rely on junior development and players staying at the club like the pre-crow days.

Completely agree, the SANFL is merely a kindegarden for the AFL
