Sure do Brock. They end up in the Conference league ( a semi pro / amateur league)

Here's the table. I have highlighted former league clubs.

Teams P GD PTS
1 Torquay 19 13 37 long standing league club
--------------------------
2 Histon 18 12 37
3 Burton 19 9 37
4 Cambridge 19 7 34
5 Kidderminster 18 10 33 made it into the league but was short lived
--------------------------
6 Kettering Town 18 8 32
7 Crawley Town 18 11 31
8 Wrexham 17 11 30 Another long standing league side. Relegated last year
9 Stevenage 19 -2 28
10 Weymouth 20 -2 27
11 Rushden 19 4 26
12 Altrincham 18 -3 25
13 Barrow 18 -4 24
14 Ebbsfleet United 18 3 23
15 York City 19 -1 23
16 Salisbury City 18 -4 23
17 Oxford 18 -3 22 See below
18 Eastbourne Borough 18 -9 21
19 Mansfield 18 2 20 Also relegated last year IIRC
20 Woking 19 -7 18
21 Forest Gn 18 -11 16
22 Grays Athletic 18 -10 15
23 Northwich 19 -9 14
24 Lewes 19 -25 11

There is relegation from here to, into Northern and Southern leagues (at least 3more tiers below)

Note that only the top side wins automatic promotion with the next four battling it out in the play off's

Ref: Oxford Utd (once famously owned by Maxwell the newspaper magnate who died when he fell off his boat. Oxford were promoted to the league in 1964 at the expense of Accrington Stanley. 32 years later they were relegated from the league. guess who took their place. Yep, you got it, Accrington Stanley

Well I'm a Rotherham United fan so hopefully they can stay away from the bottom 2, otherwise it's going to be a lot harder than just reading the sport in Monday's 'Tiser to check their scores next season.

Don't worry mate. they started the season on -16 points after two years of going into administration so I am sure they will be ok. Luton are still on -11 points at the bottom.

Had ex Burnley boy Ronnie Jepson as manager for a while, in fact there has been some close ties between the clubs over the years. Burnley's, then, record signing Ian Moore's dad was their manager, and there have been a few ex Clarets heading their way, John Mullin and Alan Lee spring to mind, only because the both scored twice in a 6 - 0 win at Burnley on their 1st return to Turf Moor after we let them go on free transfers.

Anyway, if the worst does happen, I will keep you posted on their progress on here.

Sheesh, if there's a Manure game at old Trafford, there could be a shortage of cucumbers.

Time to invest in cucumber futures.

Leicester are the new League One leaders after beating Scun.thorpe 2-1, while MK Dons have climbed into second after a 3-0 win at Walsall.
In the top-of-the-table clash at Glanford Park, Andy King raced through the **** defence with nine minutes left to place the ball past Paul Henderson to seal the win which moves the visitors one point clear at the top.
The visitors went ahead minutes after 22 when striker Lloyd Dyer latched on to a Matt Fryatt through ball and slotted past Henderson.
The hosts hit back with a low drive from Paul Hayes 10 minutes later but the travelling fans went home the happier thanks to King's late finish.

MK Dons condemned Walsall to their third successive defeat with a 3-0 victory at the Bescot Stadium.
Jemal Johnson and Ali Gerba opened up a two-goal lead before Mark Wright tapped home Alan Navarro's cross from close-range to round off the win in with three minutes left.

Jermain Beckford scored twice as Leeds ran riot at Elland Road where they beat hapless Hartlepool 4-1.
Beckford opened the scoring with a glancing header after 15 minutes before Joel Porter headed Pool back into the game.
Second-half goals from Fabian Delph and Luciano Becchio put Gary McAllister's side ahead before Beckford secured the win which moves the Whites up to sixth in the table.

Peterborough stretched their unbeaten league run to 13 matches by beating Colchester 2-1 at London Road.
Craig Mackail-Smith gave the hosts the lead with a 45th-minute strike. Former Posh striker Clive Platt then levelled before George Boyd secured all three points for Darren Ferguson's side.

Round Up

Chris Zebroski and Matt Harrold bagged two goals each as Coca-Cola League Two leaders Wycombe overcame Port Vale 4-2 at Adams Park.
Harrold's first came from the spot following a foul by Lee Collins on Angelo Balanta after 23 minutes. Zebroski then doubled Wycombe's lead on the stroke of half-time before Vale hit back through a Marc Richards penalty.
Zebroski restored Wanderers' two-goal cushion with a 65th-minute strike but they were immediately pegged back by Vale's second goal which came courtesy of Scott Brown's 18-yard strike.
Any hopes Vale fans had of coming away with a point were dashed eight minutes from time, however, when Harrold's 18-yard drive beat Joe Anyon.

Karleigh Osborne's injury-time strike denied Darlington all three points at Griffin Park where they drew 1-1 with Brentford.
Richie Foran headed home from point-blank range from a Franz Burgmeier cross to give the away side the lead but Osborne's six-yard shot stole a point for the home side.

Dagenham and Redbridge ran riot at Victoria Road where they put Notts County to the sword with a 6-1 hammering.
Paul Benson rounded off the win in the 89th minute when he headed home to secure his hat-trick. Magnus Okuonghae, Matt Ritchie and Ben Strevens were also on target for the hosts while Jonathan Forte grabbed County's consolation.

Macclesfield scored two goals in the last three minutes to beat Barnet 3-1 at Underhill.
Martin Gritton's left-foot volley gave the away side the lead after 12 minutes but John O'Flynn restored parity with a close-range header on the hour.
The game looked set for a draw until Francis Green stunned the home fans with an 18-yard strike after 87 minutes to put the visitors ahead before Nat Brown finished the game off two minutes later.

Andy Bishop and Glynn Hurst scored two apiece for Bury as they hammered Gillingham 4-0 at Gigg Lane.
Both scored either side of the break as the Shakers made light work of the Gills, who missed a second-half penalty through Adam Miller.

Second-half goals from Luke O'Brien and Nicky Law gave Bradford a 2-0 win over Rotherham at the Don Valley Stadium.

Goals from Lee Thorpe and Adam Le Fondre gave Rochdale a 2-0 win over bottom side Luton at Spotland while Marvin Morgan's late strike gave Aldershot a 1-0 win over Chester at the Deva Stadium.

James Ryan's second-half strike grabbed a point for Accrington Stanley in their 1-1 draw with Chesterfield at Saltergate.

Richard Walker's second-minute dismissal was the only talking point at Sincil Bank where Lincoln City drew 0-0 with Shrewsbury.

Hate to be picky JTC and I love your weekly summaries but it was Andy King who fired home the winner for the mighty foxes!

Hopefully we can win our next game and stay top for more than a week for once. We have been top at least 3 times this season only to to let it slip next game out!

Round Up

Martin Allen saw his Cheltenham side end a run of six straight league defeats.
Boss Allen said: “All the players are exhausted. They showed great energy.”
The Robins had the ball in the net on 55 minutes but Ashley Vincent’s bicycle-kick was flagged offside. Southend chief Steve Tilson said: “This was a decent point for us.”

Jermaine Easter got off to a flier to end Colchester’s run of three consecutive defeats.
The U’s signed hitman Easter, 26, on loan from Plymouth on Friday.
And, in his second start for boss Paul Lambert’s strugglers, he landed the killer blow on 55 minutes. Lambert said: “The win’s the most important thing.”
Town boss Russell Slade said: “On another day we’d have got something.”

Jeff Hughes rescued a point for Rovers to leave both teams still searching for a league win in November.
Michael Nelson headed in Matty Robson’s cross to give Hartlepool a sixth-minute lead. But Hughes levelled from a tight angle in the 25th minute.
Pools boss Danny Wilson said: “At least it’s a point after three league defeats on the trot.”

Orient boss Martin Ling saw his side bag a third win in four games and said: “We showed great character.” Adam Boyd struck the winner after 68 seconds.
Ling added: “We were terrible in the first half but then improved a bit. It was backs to the wall at times.” Terriers boss Gerry Murphy said: “We had chances but didn’t work the keeper enough.”

City boss Nigel Pearson voiced his frustrations after his leaders scraped a win against rock-bottom Crewe.
Matty Fryatt’s measured shot put the Foxes ahead but DJ Campbell and Michael Morrison’s defensive mix-up let in Calvin Zola to level.
Andy King headed a 72nd-minute winner but Pearson said: “Our decision-making made for a frustrating evening. But we are top of the League so we have to be upbeat.”
Crewe stand-in manager Dario Gradi said: “We showed spirit.”

Eddie Newton hailed MK Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo as the man with the plan after a sixth straight league win.
Peter Leven’s 61st-minute penalty — after Karl Broadhurst’s foul on Miguel Llera — and Mark Wright’s strike two minutes later put Dons 2-0 up. Sub Jemal Johnson got in on the act at the death.
Assistant boss Newton said: “We formulated a plan. The boys knew we had to raise the tempo.”
The game was marred by a serious-looking knee injury to Hereford’s on- loan keeper Matt Murray.

Lee Hughes came to Oldham’s rescue with a two-goal blast to make it three wins on the trot.
Mark Allott put the home side ahead when his 20-yard shot took a wicked deflection.
But Walsall smashed two goals in as many minutes. Michael Ricketts stunned his old club with a close-range header on 23 minutes then set up Alex Nicholls.
However, Hughes levelled before half-time and flicked home a 89th-minute winner.
Delighted Latics boss John Sheridan said: “There is no better way to win a game than in the last minute. Luckily for us, Lee knows where the net is.”

Dominic Blizzard was ice-cool as County made it three straight wins.
Blizzard lashed his first goal of the season and Craig Davies hit a second-half penalty after Bradley Johnson handled.
Stockport boss Jim Gannon said: “That was definitely the best of our three recent victories.”
Brighton chief Micky Adams groaned: “We couldn’t handle them at set-pieces.”

Shaun Batt's late strike extended Peterborough’s unbeaten run to 14 games.
Swindon were leading 2-1 after Simon Cox’s 81st-minute goal but sub Batt flighted home a volley.
The home side struck first on 10 minutes when Jon-Paul McGovern’s cross was stabbed in by Jack Smith. But then McGovern steered George Boyd’s low centre into his own net.
Swindon caretaker David Byrne said: “That’s two on the trot where we’ve conceded at the very end.”

Ryan Shotton ran the show for Tranmere and helped send Scun.thorpe to their second defeat in four days. Ed Sonko lobbed keeper Joe Murphy for the opener in the 41st minute.
And Shotton put Rovers in the clear with a shot from an acute angle with 15 minutes left after his first effort rebounded off Matt Sparrow.
Scun.thorpe were poor in the first half but improved in the second.
Iron midfielder Gary Hooper saw an effort hit the post moments after Shotton’s strike.

Round Up

Gary Waddock admitted life’s a beach for Andy Sandell after a debut goal and assist.
Shots boss Waddock said: “If he scores every time I’ll send him to Barbados. He loves it!”
The winger bundled home a corner and set up Scott Davies.
Lincoln manager Phil Jackson fumed: “We were proper rubbish.”

Danny Carlton missed twice in injury time as Morecambe blew their chances of an away win.
Carlton first drilled a 10-yard shot straight at Cherries keeper Shwan Jalal — then clipped the bar with a close-range header second later.
Struggling Bournemouth’s best effort came two minutes before the break when Michael Symes’ shot hit a post.

Striker Barry Conlon rounded off a Bradford fightback with the winner.
Graeme Lee and Michael Boulding rubbed out Jack Lester and Darren Currie’s strikes for Chesterfield.
Alan Goodhall earned a second yellow for fouling Nicky Law and Conlon scored from the spot.
Bantams boss Stuart McCall said: “We showed fantastic courage and character to come back.”

Ryan Lowe lashed home a stunning strike to set up Chester’s shock win. Lowe’s dipping volley just before half-time wiped out Rob Purdie’s seventh-minute opener for Darlo.
Shaun Kelly headed City’s 55th-minute winner.
Chester boss Mark Wright said: “It was a great piece of skill from Ryan.” Darlington chief Dave Penney moaned: “We were shocking.”

Ruebin Reid won the battle of the penalty takers as Rotherham rescued a draw. Sub Reid sent Paul Jones the wrong way from the spot on 66 minutes.
Ben Watson gave Exeter the lead but saw his penalty saved by David Stockdale before Reid struck the leveller.
Rotherham boss Mark Robins said: “I am happy to get a point. We were just sloppy.”

Adam Le Fondre's superb chip rescued a point for high-flying Rochdale.
Simeon Jackson put Gills ahead, smashing in his eighth goal of the season from Albert Jarrett’s cross. But Le Fondre curled into the top corner on the hour to extend the visitors’ unbeaten run to nine games.
Gills boss Mark Stimson said: “I thought Jackson’s goal was first class.”

Angry Mick Harford kept his Luton side locked in the dressing room after this defeat.
Nathan Elder headed his sixth goal of the season for Brentford while Hatters also had skipper Keith Keane sent off for an 85th-minute professional foul. Boss Harford admitted: “We’re in the s**t, basically.”

Nat Brown netted his third goal in four games as Macclesfield stole all three points. The Macc hitman hit a curling shot into the corner from 20 yards in the 68th minute.
Grimsby boss Mike Newell said: “It was a much-improved display. We strung together quality passing football.”

Leaders Wycombe went four points clear at the top of League Two. Striker Matt Harrold pounced on 47 minutes, his sixth in four games before Lewis Spence fired in from a set-piece.
County boss Ian McParland said: “I told the lads ‘be patient’ but we conceded a silly goal right after the break.”

Paul Fairclough was thrilled as the Bees kept a rare clean sheet. Boss Fairclough said: “To say some of our previous performances were amateurish would be unfair to amateurs.”
Loan defender Gareth Owen made a solid Vale debut but Albert Adomah and John O’Flynn hit Bees’ best chances over the bar.

On loan Jamie White helped to make it seven league games unbeaten for Shrewsbury.
Southampton starlet White, 19, fired home from the edge of the box on 50 minutes.
Sam Saunders levelled for Daggers with a free-kick but Grant Holt hit a late penalty winner after Danny Foster fouled him.

Paul Thirlwell laid a neat ball through to the striker before he fired past David Martin to break the deadlock.
The home side held on to their lead for half-an-hour before Andy King picked up a Lloyd Dyer pass and hammered a 25-yard effort past Tim Krul in the Carlisle net.
The Foxes then completed their comeback when Mark Davies drilled a Matt Oakley corner into the roof of the net.

Andy Frampton's last-gasp header gave Millwall a 2-1 win at Walsall that keeps them two points off the pace.
Neil Harris' volley put the Lions ahead 16 minutes in before Alex Nicholls finished a Michael Ricketts flick to restore parity.
Walsall thought they had done enough to earn a point but Frampton popped up late on to convert a cross from close range to seal the win for Millwall.

A superb Danny Jackman goal stole a point for Northampton in their eight-goal thriller against Scun.thorpe at Glanford Park.
Ben May and Gary Hooper had given Scun.thorpe a two-goal lead before Scott McGleish pulled one back for the visitors.
May and Hooper both notched again to give the Iron a three-goal cushion before goals from Giles Coke and Jackman (two) levelled the scores.

Colchester came from behind to shock Leeds 2-1 at Elland Road.
Gary McAlliser's men looked set for their seventh home win of the season when they went ahead through Robert Snodgrass, but Dean Hammond and Mark Yeates struck to give Paul Lambert's men a valuable win.

Peterborough paid the price for missing two penalties as they were held to a 2-2 draw with Oldham at London Road.
Aaron McLean and Craig Mackail-Smith both missed from the spot for Peterborough, who had raced ahead thanks to goals from McLean and a Stefan Stam own goal.
Lee Hughes then hit back for the Oldham on 40 minutes with a right-foot drive.
He then stole a point for the away side when he tapped home from close range after a mistake by Posh goalkeeper Joe Lewis.

A Johnny Mullins double helped Stockport beat Yeovil 4-2 in an entertaining encounter at Huish Park.

Round Up

Nathan Elder scored deep into injury time to cap a mad final few minutes of Brentford's 2-1 win over Bradford at Griffin Park.
The game had remained goalless until the 88th minute when Marcus Bean gave Brentford the lead.

Simeon Jackson's last-gasp strike stole a point for Gillingham in their four-goal thriller with Barnet at Underhill.
The Gills' Andy Barcham levelled Michael Leary's opener before John O'Flynn put the home side back in front.
He thought that was enough to seal the win for Barnet but Jackson picked up Garry Richards' long pass before beating Rob Beckwith to equalise.

Adam Proudlock's second-half goal gave Grimsby a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury at Blundell Park.

Notts County had Jamie Forrester sent off as they lost 2-0 to Chester at the Deva Stadium.

Rene Howe scored for Morecambe to overcome high-flying Darlington 1-0 at Christie Park.

Adam Le Fondre's second-half strike denied Bournemouth all three points in their clash with Rochdale at Spotland.
Lee Bradbury's first-half penalty had put Bournemouth ahead but Le Fondre turned home a Clark Keltie cross to steal a point for the home side.

Dagenham and Redbridge were winning 1-0 at home against Exeter before floodlight failure meant their match had to be abandoned.

Rotherham's match with Aldershot at the Don Valley Stadium, meanwhile, was called off without a ball being kicked because of a waterlogged pitch.

Hate to be picky again JTC (and I do enjoy your efforts re the lower league wrap-ups) but where do you get the info from because it has been wrong a few times this season. Surely the "sites" you get it from could get the goalscorers correct.

Bruno Berner scored the Foxes winner.

Totally agree Drebin. I do rely on a few sites for the news ans stories and expect them to get it right.

It's not my fault that they don't concentrate on the lower leagues ;)

ey Drebin, I checked out a few other sites.

Here's the Sun's review.

LEICESTER came from behind to beat Carlisle 2-1 at Brunton Park and maintain their two-point cushion at the top of the table.
Carlisle had only won once in their previous four matches but shocked their high-flying opponents by taking the lead after 27 minutes through Danny Graham’s 12th goal of the season.

Paul Thirlwell laid a neat ball through to the striker before he fired past David Martin.

The home side held on to their lead for half an hour before Andy King picked up a Lloyd Dyer pass and hammered a 25-yard effort past Tim Krul.

The Foxes then completed their comeback when Mark Davies drilled a Matt Oakley corner into the roof of the net.

It looks like most of them get their info from the same source.

The Dons remain hard on the heels of Leicester and were also ahead early against Southend courtesy of Sean O'Hanlon's eighth-minute strike.
They doubled their lead 13 minutes after the interval thanks to teenage striker Sam Baldock to keep clear of the chasing pack.

Peterborough continued their fine form under Darren Ferguson during a goal feast at Cheltenham.
George Boyd set them on their way with an early strike but Ashley Vincent's penalty pegged back the Posh.
Charlie Lee and Craig Mackall-Smith looked to have sealed things for the visitors before a gradstand finish saw Elvis Hammond and Lloyd Owusu force the hosts back into it. However, Aaron McLean and Chris Whelpdale netted late on to seal a 6-3 win for the visitors.

Late goals from Fabian Delph and substitute Malcolm Christie secured new Leeds manager Simon Grayson a first victory in charge as they came from behind to win 3-1 at Stockport.

Oldham stayed in the play-off hunt but were held to a goalless draw by Carlisle.
The home side were left to curse missed chances as they failed to convert any of their 21 shots in a one-way contest.

Scun.thorpe's push for promotion was dented by a 2-0 defeat at Huddersfield, Jim Goodwin and Gary Roberts scoring for Lee Clark's men.

Millwall remain in the play-off spots in spite of being held to a 1-1 draw by Yeovil, Paul Robinson's early strike being cancelled out by Luke Rodgers in the 37th minute.
