Anyone heading from Prospect to Footy Park next Saturday?

Postby JF_Bay22_SCG » Sat Jul 22, 2006 1:15 pm

Hello Adelaide,
JF in Sydney here. Am heading across to your fair city next weekend to support the Swans against the Power out at AAMI. Want to take in North Adelaide vs Norwood at Prospect Oval beforehand as well.

Is anyone planning on taking in both game? If so, is there any chance of scabbing a lift to Prison Park.

If not, what is the easiest way via public transport from Prossie to Footy Park/West Lakes? The Footy Express from town? How much would cab be? And how long would it take (as I guess I'm needed out on the banner  ),

I get to see grassroots SANFL footy once a year, so am really looking forward to having a sausage sanga and a bourbon with the Grogs behind the goals at Prossie. Will be bringing over the big red & white flags, so if you see even, come up and say hi.

cheers

JF

PS:- Any bored SANFL footy fans want to help us out behind the Grange gold course goals next weekend at AAMI?

I'd suggest you post this on "The Roost" as well. Will be great to see huge flags when the mighty Roosters are playing! Good luck - I hope you can find a ride to the second game.

id take a bus to town then the footy express to Footy Park. a cab would only work if you left prossie immediately after the game at say 5-530 and for only 10 bucks the bus would be the way to go for me.

Depending on the time the games finish start - I'd cab to the city from Prospect - around $12 maybe. Then get the foot express BUT you'd want to find out both where it leaves from and what time. Cab from one to the other would be.

But in saying that - as the crow files (pardon the pun) it's only about 9 or 10kms from Prospect to Footy Park - maybe $25 in a cab MAX I think. Would be worth looking in to doing that since you'd like to not be pushed for time.

The swans supporters ought to really be going for Norwood I reckon, with Crouch, Fosdike and Grundy on your Swans list! Dare I mention it but Hueskes was also recruited from Norwood.

A day-trip ticket is even cheaper then the express bus, but then you want to get there quick, then the express bus is the best.

As C Perm pointed out, what's wrong with Red?
Pay a visit to the Spirit and they will have a few REAL flags for the Swans cheer squad to wave. Some even have red in them!

Mate, you ain't really seen it before Australia beat Croatia. Most of the "Crostralia" morons who have been heaping shit on Australian football ever since their clubs were demoted in status to that of feeder state league clubs have simply gone underground. The ones who have stayed are so morose & bitter that it isn't funny.

Thanks for welcome their Wedgie. See ya Saturday! 8)

PS:- What is wrong with calling yourselves a Cheer Squad like everyone else (except the Crows who are fake & don't really count-Supporters Group my frigging arse!  ). Calling yourselves the "spirit" makes you sound like the dorky supporter group names you get in the NRL like 'the Battalion' (Newcastle), the "Finnatics" (Cronulla) & 'the Burrow' (Souths).
