I was told that when Herman had a meeting with the Bays he was grilled on a few topics and had not too much to say in return so it wont surprise me if they go Gordy.

Herman - $2.20
Gordy - $1.80

Yank's vote will be the one
Maybe the fact that Willunga has been so strong and that Herman being President of the GSFL and from Willunga,
may cause Yank to go against him.

Rumour is Willunga have signed another key forward to an already dominant forward pack! Looks like some opposition backlines will have their work cut out for them in 2009, go the Mighty Devils!

Which player is this that they've signed, or at least, which club (or league) did he come from?

On the money trix, from what i hear it is guitink from kangarilla. It will be interesting to see how he will fit in the forward line with hams, mcgowan, thomas, ryan. I wonder how many players willunga have under 6 ft?

No need to be like that guys, we'll just have to wait and see how things pan out..A player can always improve around top players like Hams and learn alot! However I dont think Bomber Ryan is playing next year due to family and work committments.

All hail President Gordie... good to see a change at the helm. The GSFL will quickly benefit from his professionalism and enthusiasm.

Congrats to Gordy, I had alot of late money come in on him with not alot of support shown for Herman.
It will be interesting to see how/if anything will change in 09.

secret Vote was 6 to 4 in favour of Gordon
Good on him
Canvassed well and as you said Teamwork the late money for him was spot on.

The Wash Up
Herman, Nifty Nev and Prior all finished up last night.
Curran is staying on.
No Vice President at this stage.

Well done to Tonkin, he will stir the place up and it is rumoured Lovelock Shield is back on the agenda with him at the helm.
Why have Nifty and Proir walked?

Why Willunga need to recruit with their depth and amount of players who do not get a game is beyond most football observers. Play a colt alongside Hams, how beneficial would that be, or young Roberts or Hoppo, don't go out and spend!
Pollard is heading with Hill to McLaren.

With the lad's injury history I hope he can stay fit for a whole season wherever he plays.

Clubs always need to recruit TC. He approached us (from what ive heard) and we (if he has indeed signed) would be delighted at any players wanting to play for us. Certainly havent gone out and spent money on getting players.

You might be surprised that you dont need to pay huge dollars to attract quality players!
