I don't think Aker has wasted his talent, 3 premierships and a brownlow.
Lucky for him and his club he's only run off the rails later in his career.
Mind you having said that we're only getting that impression because of the rest of Brisbane's senior group, perhaps they're the one's who have run off the rails?

Has everyone noticed the way the clubs have "off-loaded" the liability of dropping/disciplining players?
Everything is now blamed on the "senior leadership group"- a buzz word which conveniently exonerates the coaching department of the arduous task of publicly defending the fact that they have had to discipline an individual within the club.

Sorry just realised you meant this year. So you can scratch Lawrence and add him to the "Biggest Waste of Talent of All Time List".

Daniel Motlop - This bloke has all the talent in the world but has yet to show us more than a glimpse. Obviuosly carrying an injury but most know he can do better.

I'd argue that there isn't such a thing as a wasted talent.
Part of having talent is also having the talent to use it properly ;)

I'll give you a classic example of wasted talent. Mariah Carey has one of the greatest vocal ranges that I have ever heard but her songs are complete and utter 5hite.

The opposite I suppose is Anthony Kedis..bu99er all range but still a convincing rock front man.

I guess in that case, "wasted" is in the eye of the beholder.
A Mariah Carey fan would obviously look at that the other way around.
