You are perhaps getting slightly carried away WCP but I agree with your sentiment.

The safc constitution states that the safc jumper shall be prominentlyblueandwhite. It also states that the jumper can only be altered by a vote of the membership. Going on the consensus of this forum and the panther forum I would say that the board have zero chance of changing the jumper.

Are they changing their normal home guernsey or bringing in an alternative guernsey?

We wanna see it. Bagging a crap guernsey has to be better for South supporters than bagging their complete lack of success

Almost as drab as a geelong jumper with a panther stuck on the front of it, which is one of the proposals.
I believe that the current South jumper is if nothing ,instantly recognisable, it is a SAFC jumper not some hybrid vfl/afl take off.
The whole is an issue is a smokescreen to divert members attention from more urgent issues.

I haven't seen the proposed guernsey/s but you can't get any better guernseys than Geelongs and what sounds like Noarlunga's.
Certainly couldn't hurt their performances.
I love change, go the change Panthers! I might even buy a membership if its good enough. :D
If South supporters want to remain a mediocre joke they'll vote to keep the current guersney.
If South supporters want to embrace the southern suburbs and become a powerhouse like Central they'll vote for change.
Pure and simple.
As a North supporter I hope they vote not to change anything.

Souths country under 15's wore a 'negative' of the normal South guernsey in the state champs this season, looked quite good I thought.

I think that it's interesting that with the many things that need to change at South they pick on something that doesn't.

What about the Board? NO ONE AT SOUTH IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR STUFF-UPS!

There are blokes have been there for donkeys years, managing, contributing to and tolerating failure.

Surely some of these have to go.

Last year's AGM was the biggest shambles that I have ever witnessed.

If they can't run an AGM professionally they have to be kidding themselves.

Time to go Col. Perhaps you could take MW and others with you.

Hey South... keep your old traditional jumper those new ones are lame! Sturt and Norwood alternate strips are shockers too. Why does Sturt need an alternate strip at all?? It is the most unique in all state/AFL comps.

It's beyond me why South supporters think that looking at a new guernsey design is such a time-consuming task that their Board & Management can't think about anything else.

It's hardly a task that takes 40 hours per week for 3 months full-time. Thye can look at a new guernsey AND do other things. In fact, the design concepts were probably outsourced so the only work required in house is reviewing them.

Saying it's a smoke-screen is itself a smoke-screen, just say you don't like the proposed guernsey and leave it at that IMO.

This is the topic with the new designs:

Hot tip keep an eye out for a young bloke headed for souths this year. 18yo Copestick plenty of talent just needs a push in the right direction but thats all upto the coaching staff. B'n'F by a mile in U18's for Noarlunga (even after playing 2-3 A grade games) 2nd in mail medal count very clever lad who just knows where to be and when to get there! Good luck mate.

Good post Buddah, that news warms an old Southies heart as that is our future, players with talent in our zones who are recognised by the club and in turn the young player wants to play in the SANFL and for SAFC.
