Its AFL regulations that they have to have a certain amount of space on their list for the drafts (6?)
If I was Pfieffer Id be asking for that in writing or even better give me the contract now!

carlton had 6 delisted/retired and 5 rookie spaces already vacant before pfeiffer was delisted. so it seems strange that they delisted him IF they are going to pick him up again.

IF and that's IF they pick him up it'd be as a mature aged rookie...

I suspect it means they'll pick him up again if there is no one left who looks like a better prospect when the time comes.

I am very surprised that ex westies player Tim Schmidt is not among those being delisted. He has been on the list for 4-6 years and has only played 10-15 games. It would be nice to get some of the AFL boys back .
