I reakon Mark Mickan and Godden himself care.

I hope Sturt don't "care" about Gods either as he is a very important member of the coaching panel at the Bay but for his sake I hope Sturt aren't as flippant about his coaching abilities as ET (not that he isnt entitled to them).

Not flippant at all. We have a premiership reserve coach who is a proven better coach than Godden. Any coach that gets the gig over Norman would have to be better than Norman - its logical. Godden is probably fine but Sturt should be looking a lot higher than that. Glad that Mickan and Godden care!

Proven ? How ? If my maths serves me correct, they've both won a Ressies flag, so how much more is he proven ?

Mark Mickan, Luke Norman, Michael Godden...

I thought I was reading bloodntars.com :)

For the record, for those who don't know Michael Godden, he's done a wonderful job coaching at West and Glenelg and would be a great pick-up for whoever appoints him.

i always thought luke norman played for south......first

seriously both men (norman & godden) are obviously very good coaches, both deserve a shot at a league team & no doubt this will happen for both of them at some stage
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Yes, I was aware that Luke played for South before the Bloods.

All 3 are quality individuals.

Obviously Goddsy is really chasing a League gig,if not why would his name be bandied around by so many?

Think you'll find North approached Godden, not Godden approaching North.

Just you worry about getting selections right for the Aussie Cricket Team Booney...

So applying for a job is now "being approached" is it??? For info the only coach we sounded out was Healy and he knocked it back initially.

So you're denying that North didn't contact Godden the day before applications were required to be submitted, asking him why he hadn't applied yet?

if white could spin the ball he would be extremely dangerous. Norman would have the early running as he is involved in the system. I heard Godden speak at the level 2 coaching course earlier in the year and he spoke very well about things at glenelg.

My mail is that he contacted the club and spoke to the relevant person in charge that he was interested when the job came up. He was told to submit his application like all the other candidates. He hadn't done so the day before closing and was contacted. I believe that he then told North he was no longer interested.

Seems we both have different perspectives of this.

Quoting you from 5AA today, "The next Coach was announced to Vice Presidents of Sturt on Tuesday night. He was a very tough player."

Your other quote that said Trevor Hill was an applicant seems ludicrous, especially given he has another year of his contract to serve with Norwood.

They also said the new coach was 36, retired from playing in 2004 and has a birthday in December. Any idea?
