A week or so later signs with the bays! Says alot about a bloke i reckon and some of the boys havent let him forget it either. Good decision Grima you dumass.

Don't get too high and mighty, it happens all the time. Central have been known to pick up a few after they'd "promised" themselves to other clubs.

I think so Constance. I might be wrong but I think he kicked three in the last quarter.

Congratulations to the Dogs...thoroughly deserved the win. I'm not entirely willing to say the Dogs are the better side, but they put it all together when it counted most. That's why they are such a successful club, and do the job when the job needs to be done.

Great year by the Bays, but finishing 2nd is simply not good enough. I'd be expecting the club to go all the way next year, or we'll go down as a club that has wasted its opportunities yet again. Losing Grand Finals is NOT the culture we want continued.

Fair to say the club needs a stiff kick up the @ss for not recognising the Under 19s premiership victory in front of all the fans back at the club on Sunday Night. Those poor lads went home without the hero worship they deserved, having come from behind to snatch victory over a gallant Sturt side.

Not a good day, and I'm still feeling quite shattered about the whole thing today. I think this loss will stay with me for a long, long time.

To the Dogs, well done. See you in the finals next year...

To my fellow Snouts, see you at the Bays B&F this Friday Night.

From the members newsletter -

Congratulations to Central for being too good on the day.
Sunday's Grand Final was an opportunity lost for the Glenelg Football Club.
There is absolutely no sense of near enough is good enough or it was a good
effort to get there. Yes, progress has been made and the players have worked
extremely hard but we were not there on Sunday to make up the numbers. We
were there to win. There is only a sense of disappointment and a commitment
to get better as a football club. The hard work to improve begins now...
Thank you to our magnificent supporters for your enthusiasm and commitment.

Here, here. I think the supporter numbers were (albeit expected after such a long absence) terrific, quite a populous of black and yellow on the day. And it is a building exercise.

Centrals far too good!

The CDFC player, maybe Dutschke?, was backing back with the flight of the ball and the oncoming Bays player, possibly Hinge?, squibbed it at the last minute. One minute later Callinan kicks a ripper and the Dogs roll on.

Absolutely.
Our blokes needed to be much aggressive at the body and ball.

Still Proud of the TIGES!
But VERY dissappointed.

Agreed go back to Rd 11 when Fisher was camped under a ball in front of the grandstand at Elizabeth, as soon as he took the mark a Centrals player went straight through him (no problems its part of footy and a free kick was rewarded (all that it deserved)).

Difference between the two clubs Centrals are ruthless when presented with an opportunity to hurt a player they did it, when we had the chance to exact revenge - we jumped around the player and tried to just spoil the mark which even then we failed to do....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It was amazing stuff, on TV it seemed like there were about 10 thousand less people in the stands at the start of the 4th quarter? Obviously many Crows supporters are Bays supporters.

Or maybe neutrals couldn't be stuffed sitting around Dogs supporters and hearing stupid chants and seeing flares.

NFC..

get a life, arn't you sick of bagging the dogs and their supporters yet..

You have some tossers at the parade too you know...

talking about tossers, My wife and I took our two youngest children, and had a great time, we were surrounded by some very friendly bay supporters who were copping some grief from a teenage bulldog fan...my wife tried to tell me to keep quiet when I told him to shut up and watch the game...he spent at least half the game facing the crowd and bagging the bay supporters.

There was one bay supporter who was a bit lippy, kept bagging those "Mcgowan twins " but he was a tad quieter when I asked him if this was the first game he had been too this year :) and he left about 2 minutes into the last quarter..

NFC not stupid chants at all winning chants they are , you should of said stupid flares right !!

Dutchy tell me how CDFC officials stop people entering footy park with flares how do you know who is carrying flares can you detect them by the color of their eyes ,maybe the color of their hair, maybe the red ,white and blue scarves they wear ???? i thought it is up to security at the venue to enforce it, and not officials from SANFL clubs, maybe it is time they installed scanners to catch these imbeciles.

If the Apache catches any moron with a flare he will be made to do the sun dance, which is having meat hooks inserted into their body and then suspended for quite some time, but the Apache will add a slight twist to it by lighting a flare under their clacker.

So if any of you cretins read this watch out the Apache is on the warpath.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

Nice selective editing there....Why not quote TB's full post. I too thought Glenelg were the best side all year, they just fell on the big stage & well done to the Dogs for that.

Even Central people admit the Dogs weren't the best side all year, they just put it together when it mattered the most.....

They cant stop them taking them into venues however if they really wanted to find out who was doing it they could, intelligence from members would be easy to obtain, its not a large group that sets them off....

what I will say is I have never ever had one problem/issue with ANY central fans, Ive heard of some ordinary incidents but havent seen any first hand, cant say that for other clubs...

It is up a few times for all to see ..The bays fell on the big stage twice .If you lot are happy to hang ya hats on that then good luck to you .Beaten twice in the finals would remove any thought of me claiming my side could claim to be the best side for the year if it was North but each to their own.I still find it a remarkable claim to even be thinking about.

Can't find any posts about Glenelg people being happy, so don't know where you pulled that one from.
I was reflecting more on the season as a whole then just the finals, but hey that's the digs. Take it any way you want as you can usually twist it to read the way you choose.....
