Congratulations to Centrals.

I have to say that I think O'Hara will develop into one of the best players in the League and Schell is a dominant forward.

Well, who can get bored of this?
I went into yesterday's game with some trepidation and when Glenelg kicked the first goal I became even more worried (we've kicked the first goal in all previous premierships).
The second quarter I could feel it building, we were just a few tidy possessions in the forward lines away from blowing the game open.
Then the third quarter....
I have never felt so high on life! It was a beautiful feeling to hit the premiership quarter and show why we win flags.
Well done boys!

Great to see so many SAFootyites at the game, to those I missed - some other time.

To Glenelg, well played. You were outclassed when it mattered but your dignity among players and supporters when it was all over was outstanding. A credit to your club.
Don't write this off as a negative but use it as a learning experience. It was a great season for the Tigers, plenty of good memories, despite the loss in the one that counts.

Finally to the DH that threw the flare, you are lucky I didn't catch you. I don't get fired up too often but if I'd caught you mate I'm sure you'd be pretty sore. Your stupidity is a poor reflection on what should have been a wonderful celebration at the southern end. I will support any punishment meted out to this DH.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

central way too good in the 2nd half after a tight tussel & we were the first team to crack, so all kudo's etc to central

without putting a dampener on it do you dogs people think your escape in the qualifying final won you the premiership or do you think you would have won the next 3 games regardless ? i'm just wondering your thoughts

ps, having a word to 'the wiz' last night, don't be surprised if he has a 'change of mind'

I reckon the dogs were priming themselves for the qualifying final, semi final and a week off. Another game may have been too much for a few players. I think a QF loss would have been pretty difficult to come back from.

Delighted, absolutely delighted.

The Premiership Quarter nickname for the 3rd Quarter has almost never seemed more accurate.

Really good turnout at the Bay. Some of the players hitting the piss??? of course they are. Its the end of season....

To the absolutely disrespectful rude pricks front right of stage you need to seriously look at yourselves. Matt Bode, Ben Mules and Mark Mickan deserved FAR better than your inane chanting, yelling and carry on when they were trying to speak. It is the last time a great deal of people will hear from Bodey and your behaviour was a joke. Three times he stopped...repeated himself and tried to say his "thank you's. In the end he cut it short. DISGRACEFUL. There should have been SILENCE while he was speaking and then cheering and chanting once it was clear he'd finished or at least finished a sentence.
Ben Mules actually handed the mic back and said "should I go on"....

Awesome crowd, really good atmosphere... but some real ****heads who thought it was all about them.

Funny thing about that was that the players seem to enjoy it........maybe you should have joined in instead of feeling sorry for your self..........

at half time i said if we can hold them like this for 1 more quarty....we might have a chance..... but we couldnt do it...Congrats to the CDFC, you are just to bloody good....Its hard being a tiger supporter who lives in Craigmore at the best of times....but now :( ....oh well.

just on everyone who wrote the dogs off early in the year, i think Callinans injury had a lot to do with there form, because since he has been back, they have been great. Although he didnt do a hell of a lot yesterday...what he did was good....what about that goal.....

and i didnt cop it from any Central fans either......thanks for that....

PS...we went back to the club after the game, and had a great time, altough we lost, i think there were a lot of happy people knowing we had a good year....me inluded.

Glenelg lost the game when one of their guys had the chance to put a Centrals player into the grandstand and didn't. The CDFC player, maybe Dutschke?, was backing back with the flight of the ball and the oncoming Bays player, possibly Hinge?, squibbed it at the last minute. One minute later Callinan kicks a ripper and the Dogs roll on.

Hey Rob can you pm me your email and i'll send a couple of pics so you can post them on here cause im a dumb bastard.
And stop wearing that silly hat, good result overnight for the 'gers

One stat that I found telling was Central had 12 different goal kickers.
How good was the atmosphere in the bar before the game and during the 3rd quarter.

Well done to the dogs, much better. Still devastated myself but life will go on. At the start of season I think tipped Bays to be 5th so proud of team regardless.

Great effort by Roy Laird and his team. To keep winning flags year after year is an amazing achievement. Glenelg simply not up to their level. Second best team in the league this year but obviously still a long way to go to take the next step. I expect they'll be about the mark next year but they must be rueing a golden opportunity. Who knows...another may not come by for many more years [-o< ...

It goes without saying that the club I love and support has not played in a GF in 29 years and has not won a Premiership in 44 years. What we would not give for just 1 flag.

Would be nice B&W but think we will be waiting along time yet!!! :( (after watching that game...)
