Did you hold high expectations of him or something? As far as I can see, he is a "project player". He will no doubt gain more experience this Sunday, and he should (like every other player) give it everything they've got.

For those Eagles (& Sturt) fans wanting regular updates on the Reserves GF, 107.9 LIFE FM will be live on air from the first bounce at 12 noon (SA Summer Time) on Sunday.

Phil Aspinall has been given the role of watching the reserves during the pre-game show, he will be giving regular updates throughout and if the final 10 minutes are close we will do a live call.

You can also post your questions, thoughts and comments via the safooty.net thread.

Cheers

Fair bit of press coverage for a 'project player'.

He writes an article for the club website, and maybe any other press he gets is probably due to the fact that his father won a Brownlow Medal and was a great player.

Remember being a bit disappointed that Colville wasn't a star in his first year ('95), coming from the VFL U/18's and so forth, but look at the player he became once he developed. Same with Couch, I believe, and he played a fairly good game Sunday.

The Big shrek doesn't watch the Eagles seconds .On a few occasions this year I was calling for Tom to be brought up to the seniors. But he seemed to get injured at the wrong time.
And as spelly said he is a project player .I would expect to see him in the league team next year.He is a long kicking wingman/ HFforward/onballer who can also fly for a specky (the last game at oval ave he tried the impossible).
And I have watched both Couch Dad and Lee's family at the games .

Colville didnt start with a bang .
Jarrad looked woeful in the first 5 or 6 games.
Rimmington took a year .
So give the kid a chance its a big step up from VFL to SANFL for 18 yo's.

Mind you Biagi and Mackie were dud's.
The more Brownlow medalists that come to Oval Ave the better IMHO .And I bet young CD signs them up as members .

Mackie had a physical edge to his play that very few 18 year olds have , certainly the 3 names mentioned dont have it yet !

Yes he looked good for someone who at 18 already had a knee recon .
