Nup never heard that one, done a search of the net and neither has anyone else...... etc.
Having kept a few chooks in my time I suspect each variety makes its own subtly different sound. We need to search for Booney's breed.
book book book sounded reasonably like some I've heard, particularly when broody.

Yeah but Psyber, it doesn't suprise me in the slightest that you'd be the only person in the world to keep chooks that have an interest in literature.

Ahh well they were Dutch Wellsummers - into porn not corn perhaps. I had rose-combed bantams as a kid, but they were more into stealing the dog's food.
I also had a cat that used to read the paper. She assured me cats read by sitting on the paper you are trying to read yourself.
[She was also the one that kept trying to get her nose into my glass of scotch!]

Oh well,I guess I make sure I Google everything I am about to type before I post it and find myself,or worse still somebody else discover I have made a mistake.

Thanks for showing me the error in my ways Wedgie. It wont happen again..

If you didn't understand what I was getting at,Geelong lost the GF and many of thier fans had 'counted thier chickens before they hatched' IMO and already had the back2back pencilled in and much to my satisfaction they failed and season 2008 can only be described as a waste for them.

If the definition of 'choking' is to lead for much of the time only to stumble at the final hurdle,I do believe we have a new front runner in the 'choke' stakes.

You know the joke about the Chicken and the Frog?

The Chicken says " book book book"

and the Frog says " read it read it"
