Well spotted Jackal.

I think Kenny is in a great position to negotiate a reasonable payout if the Crows want him to retire so his payment is not included in the salary cap.

Would be a great asset for WWTFC.

To that overseas idiot........he wouldn't know a hard ball get if it shirtfronted him.

Agreed Kenny is a champion and to have played 150 AFL games is a true testament to his ability. To that o/s idiot stop rambling mate your comments are shit - you have no room to talk when you have played 150 + less games than Kenny. Let's hope he remains in the SANFL next season with the Eagles as he would be a very handy player.

I agree Dutchy, Champion is a loose term for some players. Ken has been a great player but not a champion player. It will be interesting to see where he plays his football next year. Wherever he plays he will enjoy his football again just like the Sarge did this year at Sturt.

Welcome back? He's played over the 2/3rds of the season with you. Most clubs have factored him into their planning when they play the Eagles. If he was delisted from an interstate club yep a new recruit but doesn't really add much to the Eagles list comapred to the Perrie situation when he was an addition to Sturt for 2008.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

If you really thought before you opened your keyboard , you might realise there is far more to glean for the club from a mature FULL TIME clubman , especiaaly with so many kids in our ranks ala Bode & Perrie , even Dew at the Hawks ! uote="1980 Tassie Medalist"]

Ah well, at least we know he won't be called up by the Crows, and he is now an Eagles player first and not second.

Champion is going way overboard, but he was a good and at times very good player, especially at CHB under the Ayres regime. Very consistent in those years and also had a couple of pretty good years playing as a forward. Great contested mark and a good clubman. Declined pretty quickly the last two seasons. Only 27, so theres football left in him.

This is really fantastic news. Kenny is a champion bloke and he will bring tons of experience to a youthful list. Always an Eagles man at heart and will good to have him back on a regular basis. A very versatile player who can play forward or back. He will be a huge asset for us in 2009

Well done Kenny on a great AFL career. Great news he'll be playing the rest of his days out at the Eagles. I remember an interview with him at the club before he got drafted and he said he would be happy to play his entire career for the Eagles if he didn't get drafted. Of course, his ability and attitude was always going to see him make the grade. He was a handy forward, but was probably robbed of greater recognition as an AFL player by the Crows inability to keep him at CHB, where he plays his best football.

A great guy but WTF were the Crows thinking when they took McGregor and let Fremantle take Pavlich?
Did they feel embarassed by the McLeod/Groom swap and want to give Freo something back?

might be a champion bloke, but a handy AFL player is how most would view him.

wedgie....

Kenny was more advanced at the same age as Pavlich and was playing league at the time I think

besides all the other clubs passed on Pavlich too

lucky pick just as Hird was for Essendon

but a great pick at that!
