Regardless of result this weekend, one would think Centrals Luke McCabe will hang the boots up (again !!) to maybe have a kick with Hamley Bridge Bombers next year ?

Also heard Luke Cowan will pull the pin and possibly head up to Cairns to play with some mates up there. Has had a frustrating run with injuries in recent years and form has been pretty poor.

Nathan Steinberner was kind of forced into retirement with the body just not holding up for him to be able to go on. I'm sure he would have played on next season if the body held up.

Well, I know that it WON'T be THE MESSIAH, aka Chris & James Gowans! :)
Probably be Cowan, Griffen (a loss, not retirement), McCabe & Steinberner, that's about it but look out end of 2009!

I think Mark Clayton from Port may retire. Played ressies and off the bench this year. Dont think he'd be happy with that. Whats Hargraves doin? Is he playing on. He would dominate if he went to an amatuer club.

Dunno about retirements but I have heard that DeJongh / Gibson / Bartemucci / McDonnell / Pollock / McLean / Tyrrell / DeVries / Culpitt / Marshall wont be at the Parade next year.

Lad's was mid season, but still a retirement.

And add Motlop and Martin (surley he's too young to use the word retired should really be quit).

Might be round the mark with those names but Kenny Tyrell has asured me he'll be around for a while yet!

I believe it has been suggested to Bartemucci and Culpitt that they'd find it very difficult making the league team next season .. read into that what you will.

I'd be very surprised if Tyrrell didn't go around again.
